I hate those shows. The only good part is the audition shows where the people are terrible and get all pissy when they are told so. Their moms told them they were cool...
finally. the show has always been trash, honestly. it was a cute idea, with terrible judges. now, the judges are even worse. whatever.
I loved the initial seasons of American Idol but the current season puts me off track. I don't like it anymore sadly.
I just found out that American Idol is going to be on 5* (A sister channel to the main 5 station) over here. A station that has 0.5% audience share. It might not quite be dead in America yet - but I think it just might be here in the UK.
I honestly hope all of these so-called "talent" shows get cancelled. Nothing to see other than more would-be, manufactured pop stars that the masses will lick up and then forget about when the next big star arrives.
Yep, and it died a slow, painful death.....I watched the adios, final show last night.....and it was a snooze fest...i only sparked up when Chris Daughtry showed up....he is the only one i ever bought any music of from that show...and he was never even a winner.... Trent is a good singer...last night's winner, but I have a hard time looking at him.....lol I have not paid much attention to this show since Phillip Phillips won in the 11th season. i had rooted for him all along.....I rooted for David Cook, too..., and other than Kelly Clarkson and Caleb Johnson, the other winners of the show do nothing for me. Then there was Adam Lambert...another I liked, but he did not win, either.... i watched it when I did for the music. I don't watch any of the other spin offs, though, or Dancing With the Stars...ugh.... AI was fun when Simon Cowell was there, but after he left, the show slowly died. and I never called in one vote ever. That part was bogus...people used to call in hundreds for one....so i never put much faith in its voting system to care about that. I liked who I liked...period....What the judges ever said never affected me.....and when Simon kept pushing Carrie Underwood every week...that sort of turned me off to him, too, at the time.
Also, I heard or read that if you were winner of this show, they owned every part of your life for quite a long time....so it was kind of better for you if you did not win...like Daughtry. he had the perfect scenario to launch his career immediately for himself. As far, as many of the other winners...i was like WHO? oh, yeah....last night.....LOL
just post your own music that you make yourself on the internet for free, or if you want to sell it, there's band camp and music festivals and lots of things like that. if your ego demands the stress of fame, well getting good improves the odds, but its always a crap shoot, at least partially because what people want is a moving target too. so like, why in the hell does anyone care how popular anyone else is or not. the myth that this has anything to do with quality is just another one of those very big lies.
lol did he? not that that ever mattered. He just disappeared, though....poof....gone with the wind, after he won AI.
I was being sarcastic, he did lose a lot of weight on The Biggest Loser but he put it right back on Hotwater
