Yesterday morning I went over to my Dad's and we met with two people from a local funeral home to set up pre-planning for Dad's funeral (whenever that happens). They were there a couple hours. It is with the same funeral home that did Mom's funeral in 2008. I have to say the whole experience was way better than the experience setting up Mom's funeral the day after she died. Dad got to choose the way he wants everything to go.

A month ago we got a list of questions that Dad filled out with details (name, birthdate, career etc) and some other interesting questions about his life. During the visit they asked a lot of other questions that got Dad off on several stories from his high school days, University, meeting Mom, WWII etc. to the present. They were impressed with the work he has done on Ancestry. com. (Dad's family back to around the civil war and Mom's back to the late 1700's before the Revolutionary war.) It was nice to listen to him talk about stories I have heard all my life and for him to share that with others. They made copies of his military discharge and some other forms. I would not have known where to begin to look for those things at a later date.

Dad is 93 and told them he is going to live to be 98. First time I heard that. I may very well die sooner. It is nice that he got to choose what he wants instead of us trying to figure that out after he is gone.

My poor car has not been washed since I bought it in 2009. Usually the rain takes care of the dust and stuff.

no cheap washes here except for one that is self selve and has not enough time on the timers to finish the job

only time that one is worth it is in winter when you can scrub it for free because they have to keep the water on trickle to prevent it freezing...but im still too cheap to do it in the winter

It is too hot temperature wise here today...UGH....uncomfortable sleeping last night with flannel sheets still and big heavy quilt...that felt like 100 pounds on me...and I had to kick the crap off....Will need to make changes to bedding today, as i cannot stand another night like i had last night.
I think freezing temperatures at night is pretty much over now...Might bring out plants today, too.

We've got a soft rain here.

It's perfect with the tree canopy you don't much get wet walking the dogs.

Crusher cat is on house arrest right now...and he is not happy....he keeps going under the big shed outside, as there is an opening for under it.....I tried to block it up, but he found a way to move my blockades....and he spends hours there. i think tons of mice live there...and maybe snakes, too, which makes me feel scared for him. The problem with the mice, is that our pet tech person keeps putting those poisoned food traps everywhere to keep mice population under control here. i keep asking...if my cat eats the mice that ate the poison, do they get sick? I keep getting the answer no...and i don't believe it......as common sense tells me otherwise......and I fear he may be eating those, too....so Crusher gets to stay in now....and find things to do inside....lol

i am fighting against those mice posion traps....i do not like them.

I think those mouse poison's use a drug called Warfarin/Coumadin, which is a blood thinner. Hopefully it wouldn't be in high enough dose inside the mouse to cause problems for the cat.
