I've never had one but I love how salt water aquariums look. The fish are so brilliantly colored.

 

I love them. I've had huge tanks with huge fish that used to fill my basement. I sold them all (the really big ones) when we had to remodel the house. They just took up so much room and I didn't expect to be able to put them back down there very quickly. I had no idea where to store them since we're talking 75 gallons up to 360 gallons....per tank. So now I just have a few small tanks but my "small" tanks are still 30-40 gallons so I can have a nice tank with some smaller fish.

 

Today...[ok,yesterday,it's 04.15] I got offered £120 [circa $172] for an 11-year-old Nokia 6021!
Y'know,life never ceases to amaze. It's a really small,compact little phone that I kept in the cab when I was trucking around Europe.
It still works flawlessly,still holds a charge for 5/6 days....but it's NOT a smartphone-not in any sense.
I was sat working on a route with a bloke I know only slightly and it was sat beside me on the table.
He was really orgasmic at seeing it,asked if he could see it,etc etc.
Turns out it's a 'limited edition'-I have to say,I didn't know there WERE limited editions...but it's been signed on the inside by the sim tray and apparently,to collectors,this makes it uber collectable-so he offered me £100 for it. I told him to grow up,ffs-so he increased his offer!
That bloke is either DESPERATELY in need of a life,or I'm missing the point of all this 'collectables' hoohah.
The bloody thing cost circa a fiver,[about 8 dollars],11 years ago.
Admittedly it's in flawless condition....but so am I-and I'M worth only whatever my gold teeth bring!
He explained that because it was designed AND built in Finland,plus signed by the designer,it's a limited-edition collectors wet dream.
I say,isn't it nice that the homes let their window-lickers out on day trips to La-la-Land......or am I overlooking something here?

Problem is if I set up each type I want, I'll be back to having 13 tanks like I did before getting married.

I ran the race with my daughter today. I knew it would be tough for her but she kicked ass and was a real trooper. She actually had some people cheering her on while she was doing some of the scarier obstacles (and me instinctively moving below her to try to catch her in case she fell on a couple of things...I was right up there with her on the most dangerous ones). But I was really proud to see her get so tired and continue to do things she didn't know if she could do. I knew she could do them.....she just had to convince herself. As the race went on, it was cool to hear her comments change from not being sure if she could do it to talking about how she is planning on doing it next time. I think I have a new team mate.

Also....I was at a party last night and talking to a friend about fish tanks. I told him I was planning on setting up a salt water tank soon. He wants to get rid of his salt water tank so he's going to give it all to me.....75 gallon tank, rocks, fish, filter, etc....I even offered to buy it all but he refuses to take any money. He just wants me to take it off his hands. So I'll get that set up once my son moves out pretty soon.

 

got tons of work done this weekend and tons more for the days ahead...i hope my back doesnt give out i can tell im right on the edge of my limit already
