I'm enjoying Tomb Raider: Anniversary so much that I'm thinking of buying the remastered trilogy on PS3 for my brother and my friend :D

It's been a while since I've been so into a game that I actually feel like I'll finish it.

    For real this time!

My brother loved the earlier Assassin's Creed games and my friend loves God of War. Seems like it'd be a worthy endeavor since they're both mostly platformers.

Tomb Raider makes you feel sort of lonely though. Not much NPC interaction. Just you. Some smartipants hot girl with a european accent wandering around random caves looking for stuff.

The new Tomb Raider game was pretty neat. I didn't finish it (sort of lost interest and I rented it at the time), but the hype was on point imo. Lots of tense moments where you (the player) felt like your life was in sudden danger. Plus the new character model and voice-overs were amazing. Really adds to immersion how she talks to herself reassuringly.

Also playing Manhunt 2. Which is fricken difficult! I thought I'd be able to blaze right through the game with all my experience playing Hitman, but you slip up one time. One fricken time and holy crap there's 4 people beating the crap out of me!! Oh, now I'm dead. Again. Starting over from way back here??? (Turns PS2 off, topples TV out of entertainment center onto the floor)

    Fuck that game. (pouts)

Oh man I played for hours and got stuck and then I forgot to save and died. Now luckily I remember what I did ten years ago so in reality though not saving I'm not that far behind because everything I did id have to go and do again anyway as it was wrong order. :D

Ahh. The music in this game, it's so in my mind yet lost and forgotten until now. But I can beatbox these tunes out without thinking. :D

I Just finished Walking Dead Michonne. I am not a fan of the tv show but I do like the Telltale games where I get to create the story. But I felt like my choices didn't matter at all in this one and it was much shorter then earlier games.

Im waiting for them to do the second series of Game of Thrones. That is a show I love.

I've never played them. I always wanted to play Desert Strike. I loved the artwork cover and a huge fan of the Apache helicopter. I'd played Jungle Strike before so thinking its along the same lines.

I played a couple of fighter jet games on NES so I assume they're even better on SNES. :D

Well it took me over two days but I came third in a 400 mile stock car race around Kansas Speedway. Pretty happy about it too. The last half of the race went yellow free and I managed to get in the top 10 at lap 194 and then raced pretty well once in there. I paused the race near halfway so I could sleep. :D was getting very tired eyes and my mental fatigue was creeping in. We were under yellow and the start and first restart were ferocious so I was just hoping to get some sleep then come back refreshed. Which I did and then yeah, third. :)

After 11 races I'm in lead of points by 13 and have 4 race wins. :D

Desert Strike is one of my faves! There's an Urban Strike too. I think Jungle Strike was the third in the series? So DS is a little less polished but the features it lacks are so minor that you barely notice a difference.

I'm still stuck on Tomb Raider: Anniversary. Almost finished w the storyline and I'll be onto Tomb Raider: Legend. Looks about the same, different story. I can't wait to see how it pairs up!

Gonna start playing Mageslayer on PC. Probably do a bit of Command & Conquer Gold and Settlers 4 in my off-time.

That's good then. Hopefully I get them this week some time. I remember with the Jungke Strike you could also be a human and run around like GTA old school. I remember it being pretty difficult. :D

But I'm trouncing through Secret of Evermore at the moment. Up to world three, big bosses only taking a minute or so to destroy. :D see, I never knew about leveling alchemy etc. when I was younger. Now I just cast a few fireballs, send the dog in, smack the baddie with an axe that's leveled and seeya later. :)

I can't eve complete the first mission in desert strike. Those missile launchers, they hurt. I'm sure there's an armor thing I can pick up somewhere. :D

It's great being back home again where I can play almost any game I want. This morning felt like a Space Megaforce kind of morning.

I think I may go out today and purchase the Uncharted collection, I want to play-through those 3 games before playing Uncharted 4.

My super strike eagle came in the mail, in a satchel with no padding. Rattled. Retron doesn't read it. I played anyway, certain textures seemed to be fucked. Game played shit. What a shit game.

I'm in chapter 9 of uncharted 4 (yes yes should be playing The last of us but I couldn't resist... and have no regrets! :p Still looking forward to that one too :))!
Love it so far and yes, playing the older 3 first is recommended. Hope you enjoy those as much as me!

I'm probably just repeating myself, but playing the first 3 Uncharted games before The Last of Us and/or Uncharted 4 is a good recommendation. I played The Last of Us before attempting to play Uncharted 3 and just couldn't stand it. The controls and fluid character animation with the environment is so much better in TLoU, I just couldn't do it!

I just bought The Nations Gold for PC thinking 'it's an old game, I'm sure my computer will be able to run it...' Nope. I need to shell out a few hundred for a new PC. :(

SO many games I have and can't play :D

Back to the drawing board. aka - Westwood Studios ;)

I finished the first Uncharted now I am currently on chapter 8 in Uncharted 2. I really enjoyed the first game, but I am just loving the 2nd one. The only thing is I didn't care for the stealth sequences near the beginning, hopefully there isn't much more of that later on.

Oh man I love stealth stuff. I should probably give Uncharted another go once I get a PS3 (or 4??). Stealth portions in TLoU are insane. Pretty hard to complete by using stealth too, but it's possible.

I loved the stealth stuff too but I guess it helped that it was well timed and not overly present, the shooting action still prevails. Also cool that it in most cases is optional (not in that first part of 2: Among thieves though :p), and if you blow your cover you can quickly reload your latest save point and try again or go in it detected and have such a shootout you really get tempted to play stealth :D But maybe that counts even more for the stealth options in 3: Drake's deception.

And yeah, everybody agrees on how the first uncharted is ok and fun but how much 2 is an improvement on pretty much everything. I experienced it the same way. Obviously this is even more noticable with the remastered version as they couldn't really pimp up the oldest one as easily as with the newer 2 and 3, without having to remake it from scratch haha :p

Audrey I think you will LOVE the third! Must be if you dig 2 a lot.

Why not 4. The trilogy looks slightly better and you already have the console to play Uncharted 4 on. Economically the best choice (if you at one point go for a next, uhm current gen console as well... otherwise you could settle for the much cheaper ps3 of course). Besides the controller sucks ass on the ps3 (imo).

Currently I am pretending to give in to my stepsons desires to change bedrooms in my house as a tool to demonstrate that my wife always gives him whatever he wants, however I will never let him actually switch bedrooms.

Later I will throw a mini tantrum when we go to lunch, not that I am actually mad, I just want to assert my weight and insist that we eat lunch at the restaurant of my choosing.
