Been playing Hive on Steam. I play board games on the computer, because it's hard to find people who will play in the real world. Here's my real world collection. https://boardgamegeek.com/collection/user/androidlove?own=1&subtype=boardgame&gallery=large&ff=1 I've been playing, more like exploring, Mike Oldfield's Music VR games. They're now free and available from the 1st post here. http://tubular.net/forums/music-vr-now-available-from-tubularnet--?act=ST;f=41;t=9438 With headphones, these games give me healing goosebumps. They reach deep into my past and massage my psyche.
I have 3 active games stored on Xbox1: Rise of the Tomb Raider (really fun), Mirror's Edge Catalyst (haven't gotten into it yet), and Far Cry Primal (don't like it so far). However currently I have taken all games back to Gamestop and used the proceeds to buy snacks and so forth such that should I wish to play one of these games stored on my system I would need to purchase it once again. Can't wait to get back into Tomb Raider though!
I really like it. It took a little while for me to get the hang of it, but now that I have, I really am enjoying it. I played for two and a half hours yesterday, which is a long time for someone who never plays video games. I really like the idea of an under water exploration game.
I didn't know you were such an avid gamer. And I knew I should have gotten Goat Sim for PS3 while it was on sale!! I just figured there are other versions out there with much more content... A friend was just telling me about being able to use the Batmobile in Arkham Knight. Wishing I had a PS4 so's that I could play it. I am however re-playing Arkham Asylum and Arkham City here and there. I'd like to get 100% in those games. I bought Arkham City quite a few years ago. Let a friend borrow it. It came back to me looking horrible! The disc was scratched to hell, even the case got some serious water damage. My friend insinuated that that's the way he received the game. No way! I always treat my games with utmost care. I was up to 98% completion when I let him borrow it. So, I ended up taking it to Vintage Stock and trading it in for the Game of the Year Edition. Little did I know, the trophies I acquired in the 'vanilla' version didn't transfer to the GOTY edition. All of my progress in the game was then nullified and I was forced to start over from the very beginning. Haven't played it since I got it
Oh yes. Started gaming in 3rd grade when I got the NES and have been playing ever since. PC always though. Only consoles I ever owned were my NES and a Genesis from an ex-bf that never came by to pick it up after we split. I have a Morrowind and a Zelda tattoo and I'm planning on at least 3 more video game related tattoos. I love video games, dude!
I need to get the Morrowind one touched up. The girl made the fine lines too thin and they're not as visible as they should be. On my to-do list.
nice! is the "fire burns always" quote from morrowind or is that a separate thing? i don't remember that line from the game.
Thanks! No it's a lyric from a Killswitch Engage song. The chorus is "Even through the darkest days, this fire burns always." I heard the song the day after I left the hospital for a suicide attempt. I swore right then and there that I would never let myself get to that point again. I was the fire and I would always burn, no matter what. That was 8 years ago and although I have gone through SEVERE bouts of depression, I have kept my promise to myself. The Morrowind tattoo placement was a deliberate choice to put close to that lyric, as well. Morrowind has helped me escape reality and find joy even in my darkest times. Those 2 tattoos so close together remind me to be strong and find happiness.
oh, ok. that's cool, i'm generally not a huge tattoo guy but it's way better when the tattoos have actual meaning, like these clearly do. and yeah, i don't think i've found any game that even comes close to morrowind for escaping reality. especially back when everything was new to me, i would get lost in that game and completely forget that there was a real world out there too.
I still find myself getting lost in that game. It is as close to perfection as any game I've ever played. I love that there are still some things that are new to me (12 years after it's release) based on small choices I've never made before. And even with its dated graphics, it's still one of the most visually stunning games. I had never seen anything so unique and amazing before. This convo is making me think I should start up a new game and get wonderfully lost in it again for the umpteenth time.
ha, tempting. i just played a new mage character all last fall and winter. finally stopped sometime probably late spring so i could finally start fallout 4, which i'd had since christmas and kept putting off until i was done morrowinding (i usually like to focus on one game at a time).
It is one of the best gaming experiences I had as well but there is a limit for me how long it stays fun to actually play (the good memories stay of course). Especially in your case, undies, it seems almost kind of unhealthy as you had several lengthy play throughs (like me) and even finally beat the main story (something I have given up, yes i'm weak!), not even that long ago. And still thinking about getting into it again!? Have you tried Skyrim already?
realistically, i probably will do skyrim again before morrowind. although with skyrim's simplified character development, it does feel like there's a lot less replayability. i mean, i've already been a sneak and a mage, what's left to do? yeah, i know, fighter. i never do that in elder scrolls games because it's kind of boring, although i might consider it with skyrim just because i'd like to do the companions questline. either way, i expect to still be on fallout for a little while longer. i want to at least stay on it until nuka world is released, and play through that.
I often wonder why these games are popular now and not the colorful free roam puzzle games like Banjo Kazooie. I'm instantly bored by the new 3D worlds. What keeps everyone coming back?
