Well I guess we can thank (blame?) the heavy police presence for the general lack of violence at the protests in Cleveland. Still there was a startling lack of support from many Republicans, notably Ted Cruz who didn't endorse Trump and told everyone to vote their consciences. Many who supported Trump did so by attacking Hillary, which is apparently their only strategy.

I know what Hillary is capable of, and it's never good, her history is terrible! Better to takes your chances with Trump and hope for the best.

Anyway, with the DNC coming up this week a lot depends on Bernie. If he can show support for Hillary and encourage his supporters to rally behind her she should have no trouble taking the election. But if Bernie disses her the way Cruz dissed Trump then we'll have a tight race. COME ON BERNIE!!

 

Dude just from reading various comment sections on articles and on Debbie wuzzerface and Bernie Sander's facebook, i really, really dont think Sanders supporters are going to jump ship to Hillary for the most part. Most seem to be disappointed in him so I doubt they'll hold their nose while voting just because he tells them to. Especially after the wikileaks scandal. I think his supporters are going to be disillusioned when/if he doesnt make an issue about it. His entire platform was about fighting corruption, and now there is proof the DNC is corrupt and his supporters who wanted to fight corruption right alongside of him arent taking it lightly.

 

Yeah I know. What it all boils down to is, are you willing to back the lesser of two evils? Both parties are rife with corruption. so it becomes a question of competency. When Bill was in office he displayed corruption but still managed to run the country pretty well. I'm thinking Hillary could do the same, I don't know. I'm just convinced Trump would fuck everything up, domestic and foreign, and prove to be the worst president ever, eclipsing Nixon and Bush. Can't let that happen.

I don't know if you were around when Nixon was president, I was. Sure he was a crook, but also an alcoholic, which probably clouded his thinking.
He did do some good things like opening relations with China, and starting the EPA.
If an election was between Nixon, Reagan, Bush, or Trump, I would vote for Nixon.

I was 20 when Nixon resigned, and was certain I'd never see a worse President in my lifetime. Bush proved me wrong. And now Trump might prove me even more wrong! Personally I'd pick Reagan over Nixon, but that's me.

 

The last thing this country needs is another 4 years of a President with no balls.
