My bed has a window on both sides, so I leave them open all of the time for a real airing out. and wow, those sheets are fresh every night....
I like this. I may start making my bed in a way that lets it air out, with the blankets all folded nice at the foot....
I Forgot To Add I Leave Mine Folded Back For About An Hour Whilst I Feed The Animals That Way It Purges The Bed Linen Of My Previous Nights Farts....... Cheers Glen.
No, but this is because I sleep on top of the comforter and thus the bed is already made. Otherwise it is likely that I would make the bed every morning. When I was in boarding school (circa 1993-1995) we had to make our beds for dorm inspection. If one bed wasn't made the whole dorm (at least four people) would basically get in trouble. That sort of made an impression on me. It was just the way things were and I'm still influenced by that time in my life today.
Now, that is funny. I laughed. Well, I am not airing out from that kind of thing. I don't do that...ladies don't....
when i was growing up i had a waterbed. when we got it it came in a kit and we actually had to put it together. the first time my mom ever told me to make my bed was the day after we had put it together, and i remember thinking "we have to do that every day?"
yeah, I thank my mom...She always said the same thing and ingrained my brain when I was very little.... She was a smart person....and was always right....pissed me off sometimes, though... Nah, I miss her!
Hell no! I wake up, get out of bed and get the day started. I wait until I go back to sleep (which is usually round about 4am) to make my bed. OCD style. Wasn't there some... thing? Where they say people actually aren't supposed to make their bed until later in the day? Due to dust mites or something??
Yes, I do. I didn't the first 25 years of life, but something about becoming a mother changed me. I'm totally a bed maker.
an exercise in mindfulness isn't a bad thing. as long as one remembers the growth of mindfulness and consideration is the whole point. and that it can be suspended when there is something more urgent that is also more beneficial. for me, organization is to be able to know where to find things instead of having to spend half the day hunting all over to look for them, not some sort of personal ritual. all habits are questionable, even those supposedly benificial. the only real bennifit of any ritual, is to remind oneself to avoid thoughtlessness.
This is getting too confusing! Make bed up, air it out? What to do... I may just go for the couch now!
if i don't get out of the house with the least possible fuss, as soon as there are buses running and stores open, odds are real good, i'll spend the rest of the day on the computer, and not get out of the house at all.
