Actually the New World Translation is the most accurate and balanced translation of the Bible. It restores nearly 7000 altered words other Bible translations changed to LORD.
And since you didn't provide any proofs to your argument, I take it that your argument is too weak to challenge.
I have already done my research.
If folks are actually able to read and understand what the Bible actually says, they'd be going out door to door just like Jehovah's Witnesses. There are in fact cases where this has happened, and they shortly joined with the Jehovah's Witnesses because they realized that the JW's teach what the Bible actually says.
JW's are nothing like Mormons or Scientologists. JW's are most like the first century Christians. No other religion comes even close.

i guess it depends on how much one is into being entertained.
i usually find the stories of someone on the street trying to bum the price of a beer more so.

 

This is evidently not the easiest or quickest way. Perhaps it is the best way for you, but in generally it seems the quickest/easiest way to get rid of someone who's message you're not interested in at all is simply telling them that.
Your way to deal with them and the examples you give have different results in my experience. The JW's approaching you in the streets or at your door LOVE discussion in my experience, knowing your shit does not diminish that at all. If you love to discuss these matters and have the time and willingness to exhibit your knowledge of the topic they will in the end go away, sure. But it may be an hour or so later

Best way to get rid of them quick is to cut them off (if needed) and say you're not interested. Said friendly or not friendly: they will accept it in almost every case.

If they go about it with respect themselves I don't really feel they deserve no respect at all simply for acting upon their (annoying, sure) principles. So I tell them quickly and respectful (well not go out of my way for that but just not disrespectfully anyway) that they are wasting their time on me as well.
If they would go about it in an annoying or persistent way while I am clearly not interested it is time to break it to people less respectfully, sure. But I simply do not have this experience with JW's myself. Even when at your door. Tell them to go away and they wish you good day and go.

I'm sure this happens occasionally but to be fair: there are far more people who also realized what JW's teach and therefor do not join them Just saying: the far majority of people who took notice of JW teachings and the bible do not become a jehova's witness.

Over the last 8 years + I have many times gotten into these "discussions" concerning religion/belief systems/paradigms and feel I have adequately demonstrated my 40+ years of knowledge of same.

I see no demonstration here. The brick wall is in your mind, not mine.

 

I simply state I have my own set of beliefs and say I am not interested. I have never encountered any who were rude or acted aggressive with their beliefs. Perhaps a smile when I say it helps as it is hard to argue when someone is smiling at you.

The information is presented and each person makes a choice of how they receive it. Notes are being taken but nothing is forced and no one is coerced into reading such information.

On the original topic I don't claim to know what inherent differentiation there is between Jehovah witnesses and contemporary Christianity however I am relatively certain that it is simply another bud off the same ancient tree. When approached I simply and concisely state the evident incongruities of the bible and they leave and don't return. If I were to go Christian it would have to be Gnosticism. They make the most sense of the incongruities.

Also Lubber if you desire such disscussion as pertains to the intricacies of faith and the potential inconsistencies therein try the religion and philosophy section oh and Gnostic Christianity is closer to the original than Jehovah witnesses are
