How Important To You Is Your Internet?

More important than I'd like to admit. Even to myself.

 

You sound pretty addicted. Shall I PM you the hotline number?

 

its sort of pretty much the only thing in my life. but i've survived without it. i've lived half my life before it existed.
but it is pretty much 9/10s of my contact with the rest of humanity.
everything else i do these days, its over the internet that i'm able to share it with anyone else.

i make my art on the computer, and upload to fur affinity, check my email, come here to bullshit.
when i leave where i live physically, its most often because i'm running low on groceries and need to replenish supplies.

i do enjoy getting out when i do, but seldom feel a great deal of incentive to do so.
i even enjoy riding the bus, though i do wish it ran on rails so there wouldn't have to be so much pavement,
and that it would take me further from where so many people live so close together.

and the internet beats the hell out of the cost of having to have and maintain a car too.

When I had dial-up (much longer than people thought dial-up internet even existed), I could go without it longer...but I would still get a craving to connect to the world.

NOW that I have for real, GOOD high speed internet, I have become half-way addicted to it.

Like now...I had been asleep for a few hours and woke up BIG TIME not long ago. Am I trying to get back to sleep...well no...I'm online.

emotionally, it is really only the furst that i would seriously miss.

when the day comes when once again no one has it,
well that will be the same as the first 30 years of my life,

Not that important. 99% is entertainment and casual socializing. I would not be lost without it. But im happy to use it.
I never paid for my own internet by the way: my landlord pays for the internet in my house and i don't wanna pay to be able to surf on my phone. I rather look around when in public anyway. Don't mind the risk of getting bored for a few minutes.

 

'Having internet is very important to me. I watch a lot of movies and tv shows on my laptop mainly. I also email. I Love my computer and having internet.

 

I've adapted to internet life. YouTube is my library. Pandora is my radio. Hulu, Prime, and HBO Now are cable. NBA app is, well, the NBA. Plus, it gives me the ability to work from home some days, and the ability to commune with you fine folks!

So, yeah, internet is pretty ingrained in my life.
