Jeans, and peach colored camisole, with a black peach skin shirt over it. Oh...I have black sneakers on.
Baggy black sweatpants, grey and black Henley and a grey and black plaid flannel shirt. I love this flannel shirt but it is a men's size so it doesn't do up over my hips. I'm done trying to look cute at work it's too damn cold.
I WAS wearing dark washed jeans with a grey tank top. Over that I was wearing a zipper shirt that is all black with fishnet long armsleeves. It sounds like a weird shirt, but it's not. It's just a little number I have had for years that I got at Hot Topic. The jeans also came from Hot Topic. And I also have had them for years. I'm referencing this because I'm considering making a capsule wardrobe, and I'm thinking back of all the clothes I have that I have used many times, and have had for years. Anyways, striped ankle socks with all black converse, or are they called sneakers? Over that, because it's chilly... I was wearing a black zipper sweater. The zipper is asymmetric, by the way. And over that, I was wearing a long, red trench coat that is good for rainy days, because it's also raining on top of being chilly. Finally, I was wearing Harvest from Black Moon Cosmetics. It's an orangey red liquid lipstick. No other makeup, but I did have my hair up in a ponytail. Oh, and I was wearing black underwear, which sucks, but it's that time of the month. By the way, I don't normally wear underwear, that's why I added this piece of information.
I'm now wearing black sweat pants and a black t-shirt with a big killer clown on it. Like this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/Evil-Clown-Face-Freak-Show-AHS-Liquid-Blue-T-Shirt-XL-Black-/332035965902
Black leggings a huge men's XXL t-shirt with a cartoon wash from firefly on it and a pink hoodie. Oh, and big, uncomfortable blue rubber work boots. I need to do laundry tomorrow on my day off.
You dress fashionable, unlike me... I look like I rolled out of bed. I need to figure out my style. It's really annoying me.
Thanks. I hardly feel fashionable! I've looked at a million pics of clothes and I know what I don't like. On Pinterest, and in clothing catalogs, I started saving things that I liked. That's all I do. I think about what will work best for my lifestyle and my body. I get things that I will get the most mileage out of - like layers. I can wear all my things year round except shorts and heavy coats. I had the most fun learning about seasonal color analysis; like what colors look best with my coloring. I love getting dressed up but I rarely have an opportunity to do that anymore. I did learn a secret that I never knew before: They say always wear at least a third piece (other than shoes) if you want to pull an outfit together. I can see where that helps. It can be a hat, scarf, big belt, big jewlery, stuff like that.
I'm the creepy naked girl on the internet. Honestly, I have on a shirt that says "Today has been cancelled, go back to bed" and Scooby Doo pants. I don't know if I feel like getting in the Mystery Machine today.......
I think I mentioned before, in this thread actually... that I'm doing a capsule wardrobe so I'm trying to find timeless pieces. I love the idea that you can wear one piece year around, for so many occasions. And you can change that one piece with just another piece, such as changing a little black dress by adding jewelry. So, that's my venture for the time being. But, it's hard. Clothing has never been my thing. I don't know how to be fashionable, which to be fair... I think most women feel like that, even though they actually might be fashionable within their own measures. I also never really liked clothing, which again to be fair... I think most women rather be naked or in their pajamas than wear clothes. So, I really have no reason not to do this, but it's hard, especially considering my weight really changes due to my medical conditions. I know everyone's weight fluctuates but mine really jumps, like ten or 20 pounds. Agh, that is the annoying part. That is why I just want to wear leggings all the time, and not be told that leggings are not pants, lol.
You sound like a candidate for jeggings! Also, you might check for your pants in departments that carry clothes for slightly older women because they are made for women who demand comfort with style. You might find some stretchier waistbands that would work with your weight fluctuation. If you want to go to another department or store for more youthful looking tops, that might work. I'm overweight, as you can see, so I've learned a few tricks about finding some comfortable things that aren't so matronly. I'm 56 but I'm not near done having fun! Side note: I like my clothes on the slightly large for me side vs. the slightly small for me side.
