    I think that's lame.

People put all kindsa stuff that they think is clever, rather than just where they actually are, and then either leave the gender blank or put something that doesn't make it understood.

How about you save your creativity for your posts, and where actual information belongs, you put actual information there?

I think that would be better than the way a lot of people are doing it.

It’s really none of your business where some people are from anyway. if it was they would have already hade it up

Well, I don't see what privacy has to do with it.

Just because I posted the city where I live doesn't mean I've lost privacy. But it's a way for people to know a bit more of what I'm about, and where/what I'm dealing with. It helps get a sense of who a person is, to know where they're living. And I don't even need to go into why it makes sense to know the person's gender to get a sense of who you're talking with...

Or, when Homer was not listening to what Marge was saying to him at the breakfast table, he just goes off on a tangent, and as he puts some on his pancakes, he says, "Yeah... syrup is better than jelly."

You say, "It's really none of your business," as though I made some sort of demand and tried to order people to put the information up there.

I asked you why/how it would be a loss of privacy, and you have yet to really answer that.

"Because," is about the extent of what you said. Sure, some people don't want you to "know about them," but I don't see how listing a state or city is "knowing about them." These often are people who are posting about their problems or desires or whatever, and yet they "don't want people knowing about them"? Come on.

You seem to see quite a few things as "lame".
It might be aesier for everyone if you gave us a list of things that are not "lame?

    If I want someone to know who/what/where I am, I'll tell'em.
    Otherwise it's not anyone's biz...

    Paranoid much??

For a non-lame opinion thread, go see the one I just wrote about Pringles. And yes, I wrote it before I saw this post.

P.S. Quite a few things are lame! Take "Saturday Night Live," for example. Probably the dumbest, least funny shows on t.v. Skits with not a single funny line in them. I have to wonder what the hell the writers/actors/directors/producers are thinking...

i dunno i think people shouldnt have to list their sex or location if they dont want... what if they were being tracked by the mob or something? huh? or were just afraid of being killed by crazy people on the internet.

whats it really matter to you anyhow...

How is it paranoid? My information isn't there because I was too lazy to fill it in. Like someone else says, what business is it of yours to go round calling people lame simply coz they don't care one way or the other if people know where they live.

...said one of the "creative" paranoid people with something other than her real location under her name... Stalk? No. It has nothing to do with stalking someone. How, for instance, would you be any better able to stalk me just because you know I'm in Florida?
