Hey everyone! I am 15, and live in Georiga(USA), I am new here and have finally found a proper forum for barefoot living:sunny:. I have always had in intrest in not waring shoes, and my 2010 new years resolution was to never put on a pair of shoes. When the closk struck 12 AM on new years day, 2010, I decided that was the time. I got together all my shoes and socks, and threw them into the trash can. The very next day was my first ever barefoot trip. I went up to Target to spend some of the Christmas money I had left over, and I went barefoot. IT WAS THE BEST THING I HAD EVER FELT!!!!! The floor was smooth and cool, and the looks from other people were weirdat first, but then I got used to it. The next week school started back, and I was determined to go barefoot. I walked into school with pride, nose up and barefeet shown proud. I got some looks and comments, but he pleasure of having my bare freet on the cool tile far suprassed the comments. Fast forward a month and I went up to West Virginia of a ski trip. Barefoot in snow is one of the best things you will ver do. Fast forward again to summer of 2010. I go to Florida and holy fuck! There are tons and tons of barefoot guys there! It is currently my 330ish day of barefooting, and I have not worn shoes or socks at all this year. I hope my story inspires you to break free from your shell and go barefoot wherever you want. The only thing stopping you is you:2thumbsup:
You threw your shoes and socks away!Awesome! Welcome to the forum. You are lucky to discover at this time in your life. It's too bad others your age are unable to discover how wonderful going barefoot is, who needs drugs when you can get a natural high from barefooting? :cheers2:
I Bet Your Parents Were Seriously "Pissed Off" When You Threw All Your Shoes And Socks In The Trash.... It Appears, When You Get Into Something New, You Really Get Stuck Into It, Bigtime.. I Really Enjoyed Your Post, And I Wish You All The Best In Your Barefooting Adventures..:2thumbsup:. Cheers Glen.
Excellent. Wish I had done that at 15, especially the school part. Good post. I know what you mean about how coolit is being at a beach and seeing all those other barefoot guys. Totally cool. And I'm jealous, I only made it 8 months before it got too cold for me. Looking forward to March.
That's cool, for sure. I'm amazed that they don't make you wear shoes in a deep south school... They would have flipped shit and suspended my ass if I showed up to school barefoot in texas....
I am glad you made that choice, what about 2011!? I hope u stick it out! I must say,the past few months i have seen an increase in barefont people in South Africa.Barefooters are popping up all over!
They don't even seem to notice lol I will never put another pair of shoes on. I hate them. They are somewhere rotting now:2thumbsup:. Anyway guys, got my first barefoot delima today. Decided to run up to Walmart to grab Black Ops, and they have the control happy greeter there and they stopped me from going in. Tip though, if you go through the gardning section, there is no greeter there, and you can get by:2thumbsup:
Unrelated, but black ops is just them trying even harder to cash in even more on the well done COD4 with a poorly done re-hash, they even threw in nazi zombies. It's pathetic.... don't buy that crap man, it tells them that that's ok to do. Also, if wal-mart won't let you in, nicely explain about all the money you've spent there, and all the money that you're going to spend at target from now on, and walk the fuck away:2thumbsup:
Funner to sneak in. My way of saying you can't control me lol. And theu were out of stock on Black Ops anyway lol
They are fine. They got a little cold but nothing worth putting any form of footwear on hahaha, thanks:2thumbsup:
Man that is totally awesome.I wish I would have had the balls to do that when I was 15.Keep it up man and how about 2011 are you still barefoot today
You should've donated the shoes and socks to charity. Somebody down on their luck, without a fetish for not wearing shoes, and maybe living in a tougher climate would probably have been glad of a pair your shoes. Maybe they'll end up making their way to charity organisations in any case, but it would've been better had you made the decision to personally oversee their transfer.
Hey. I'm Karl. Go barefoot for 2 years and I decided to tell you. I did not wash every day because I live in the house with 22 people. I brush about 8 or 9 days. So I always dirty feet. I go to school barefoot. And on the street. And the mountains and even winter when there is snow. I love to go barefoot. You do not have to give money slippers. Parents agree, so I have no problems. My brothers and sisters are also barefoot and barefoot. It is fine to walk barefoot through the park or forest especially when going barefoot through the mud. It's super stepping innimereste even longer to set foot in the Stade dog poop. When I go to the farm I love stepping in horse dung and cow but.
the other thing stopping me is my job. And my mom won't let me, but when I'm 18, she can't tell me not to.
Hi…barefootgeorgian. Thanks for your story. Happy your'e not getting a lot of opposition. My wife and I were houseparents to eight middle and high school boys at a children's home in Alabama. I encouraged them to go barefoot as much as they wanted to anywhere they wanted to. I found that the healthiest and most athletic guys went barefoot a lot. I do all of my hiking and bouldering and some of my skateboarding barefoot. You have probably already found out that there are both physical and mystical aspects to the barefoot experience. The earth has welcomed you. Always be open to the messages of the creation. Be sure to make it a two way conversation in voice and mind and in touch.
