I would definitely think so. I know if you are arrested in a federal park you face a federal judge.

I don't hate someone just because they're from a high position though. Most of his picks are stepping down from very high positions in business to work in our government. Personally I don't like Jeff Sessions comments on Marijuana. But trumps already driven the point home that it will be a state issue anyways.

Who are some of the people you are afraid of? I can't say I really know most of the people he's assigned.

Assholes for sure, I wonder where anyone got the idea that it's "cool" to sucker punch a guy because you don't like their hat. And what happened to all those "Bikers for Trump"?

very little mention of that here...the media here is doing pretty well covering it as an important historical event (as they do with all inaugurations)

Scott Pruitt as head of the EPA is probably the scariest for me. He is staunchly pro oil and pro fracking

Betsy DeVos as secretary of education when ïshe has never attended a public school, comes from a religious, creationist background, is a long time champion of charter schools and voucher programs, has no experience, knows nothing about the public school system.

Rex Tillersen as secretary of state and former CEO of Exxon...so, technically not a conflict of interest because he isnt CEO any longer but I dont believe for a second he would be above rewarding his oil industry buddies

I dont like Jeff Session's stance on drugs, i dont want to return to the war on drugs mentality of the 80s, dont know much about him past that. I've heard some rumors of racism in his past, i havent looked into it so I dont really know

Those are the few that spring to mind immediately but i havent really been happy with many of his picks

It seems that Trump's cabinet is composed of disparate peoples. As the GOP had a hard time accepting his nomination he has to try and unify the party and bring people around to his side, where many Republicans didn't want to be.So you get some whackos in there who will have there own agendas.Of course Trump is a bit of a whacko, but I think the Masonic lodges and those shadowy folk will try and get him to toe the line.

I'm from the UK so please excuse my ignorance of US politics. But World politics affects us here,so I have taken some interest.

Nothing odd about it. When twenty percent of the population and the wealthy are running everything by constantly threatening to bankrupt the government they say they love and defend with their last breath the last thing they need to do is riot. Obama may as well have bent over and kissed Trump's ass as shake the hand of the man who compared his wife to an ape. People are rioting because they no longer have a viable alternative with the democratic party having sold them all out. Both the democrats and republicans are going after Trump because if they don't all the money they are getting from the wealthy will stop flowing. The peasants they call voters they couldn't care less about, but if Trump gets away with taking over the republican party against the party leaders' wishes and democrats no longer trust their own party or voting system all hell will break loose making the current riots look tame in comparison.

Obama talking about freedom and democracy just isn't cutting it nor is the republican party talking about unity when the Tea Party and now an outsider are walking all over them.

WTF are you talking about? You think Osama made the state of healthcare better? He lied about people being able to keep their doctors, and people's premiums have doubled. Osama did NOTHING for the poor and working class.

Oh, i guess you havent heard about the plans to cut medicaid and medicare by almost 50%.

I wasnt talking about Obama at all, i know how screwed up the American healthcare system is but cutting medicare and medicaid certainly isnt going to do anything but make it 10x harder for already struggling families, the elderly, etc

But who cares about that right, as long as your imaginary enemy (liberals) are pissed off..who cares what Trump does amirite

I wouldn't say that. Plenty of poor folks who had been previously uninsured and consequently drowning in medical bills were able to get insurance. For a lot of people, that was something. Perhaps he/the powers that be did nothing for you. I know many people who have, up until this point, been able to breathe a sigh of relief that their next ER visit wouldn't land them in suffocating debt. Now they are panicking. Obama's efforts were by no means perfect or flawless, but "Obamacare" was by all measures a pilot program. Never easy to forge a new road. I hope Trump or the other movers/shakers are able to offer some sort of solution.

You all seem to be forgetting that the gutting of Medicare began with Obama. So now that Trump is doing it, it's bad and wasn't before? Same shit, different asshole. Trump is just going to re-tool Obamacare and give us Trumpcare. Same fucking shit. I don't take political sides, because all sides are controlled by the same unelected elites at the top. The agenda never changes, only the rhetoric. If Hillary got elected and did the same thing, y'all wouldn't say shit because of your political bias.

If they were drowning in medical bills then that debt didn't suddenly go away.
Also Obamacare dosnt cover 100% of the bills I am guessing by the fact that there are different tiers and if someone could afford a top tier they could have had insurance before.
If they can only afford bottom tier what makes you think they can afford the co-pay or the patients share of the x-rays Ect. Ect.
I'm all for some sort of Healthcare but I more for scrapping this one and starting from the ground up.

I'm not politically biased, i have always criticised the ACA as well as recognized the benefits of it. I have been very critical of Hillary Clinton as well.

As far as I know Obama's medicare cuts were an attempt to curb medicare overpayments, which is also an issue. I dont know a lot about it but I know he never proposed cutting medicare and medicaid by almost 50%. That is a huge, a yuuuuge cut and it scares me because my mom and many others need medicare badly. You work in a nursing home right, does it have medicaid beds? What will happen to all those elderly people when Medicaid is cut in half and it is even harder to qualify than it already is?

I know very little also. But I do know that my mom's SS check went up...I think it was $4. A month. (Now mind you she can't live on that. I help her out quite a bit) but that tiny raise that wouldn't be more than a shitty days meals was enough that she made too much and wasn't covered the full amount on her Medicare.

So question time...is this a coincidence or did they figure out the exact amount to fuck over the most low income people?
