No wonder that is a lot of weight to be doing. I know you have no choice but be careful you do not injure yourself.

Dull day here so energy is not there for me. Good excuse to do very little. :)

brain too full! head aching. having a glass half empty kindof a morning, but again, I'll live.
    making my to do list:
preparing to write the next great American novel (j/k. just my stupid one :p)
knitting like 3 or 4 things
and chores. cooking is loosing it's appeal, but maybe I'll clean something today! :p
and...oh crap! I've got handwash I've gotta finish, so...

    lataz!

    have a good one folks!

    ----
idk why I'm burdening complete strangers with this crap. Honestly, it's been quite the glass half empty all year, despite having a really wonderful time a few weeks ago. I know it'll get better, I just gotta ride this out...
    good news!
-apparently my cooking is getting better (even if it's kinda boring the hell out of me :p)
-AND I DID start sleeping at a better hour and actually woke up to see daylight today! ;)

    k, peace!

I have to finish making that owl for my brother's birthday, so I can get said package out in less than a week, as I have not worked on the owl in awhile. Was going to paint today, but I think I will finish the owl first.

Hoping to get our truck back in the morning. :)
They said this afternoon that it was looking good and being painted waiting on some other parts to arrive. I thought, I don't really get that why is she being painted and prepared if the parts aren't there? =p

    -cross fingers- in the morning.

    Gawd!

I just scheduled having the septic tank pumped out for tomorrow evening.

Also just ordered brake pads and rotor for the car.

    Hubby's distraction is his garden.

Mine is the daughter's wedding. She's been very chatty about it and sending me pics of all the vases she's bought for it.

Never fun when everything seems to go wrong or break at the same time. Money drain and stress, just what no one needs. :)

I seem to have a blister on like, where my thumb connect to my hand and it doesn't hurt or anything but I'm worried that my cue is going to slide over it when I play pool and well, that's going to hurt. =\ I'd have to find a slippery bandaid that wouldn't cause friction while I cue.

Liquid bandages work fairly well. Might work.

I used to use that when I was rowing in high school. It didn't work very well though mostly because you just had to keep pulling those oars and the friction between the skin and rubber. My hands looked absolutely disgusting at one point. Just sores everywhere. You get tough skin though after a few weeks and never happened again.

Honestly I think everyone heard this and I can attest to its truth but, urine really works. cleans it out, dries it out, makes them heal faster.

And I was doing that in the shower so not getting the full treatment because I wash away quickly. But I just wanted to feel the sting then I'd wash away. It worked. I got told to do that by my coach.

In 2014, I was ranked in the top 30 of Australian youth rowers. Just wasn't a sport I really enjoyed in the end. Up at 4am on water by 5, out by 7, school at 9... x3 days a week. Noooo thanks. I did it for about 10 months, they gave me ultimatum said gotta row or find something else. Was an easy response lol. I think they were a touch disappointed but it just wasn't anything I wanted to do.

Every now and again, I'll watch rowing and I know two women in the Australian team so that makes me think yeah maybe I could have gotten somewhere with them... -shrug-

Neat to read that Irm. :)

Maybe just tape it then while you are playing. Medical grade tape might be best.

Just put some cellophane tape on it. Like for wrapping a present.

Hehe. I'm thinking the cheap plastic bandaid would be good enough. Now there's a chance I've actually done this playing pool which is my fear because if that's the case then it's definitely going to hurt. I might be okay though it's not toooo bad.

In HS we had talent groups come in every year and if you wanted to participate you signed up you had like the beep test, fitness test, weight check, how high you can jump etc. almost like a mini NFL draft combine lol.

For two years I made the next round but I never went through with it until one year I think I remember my dad getting kind of angry at me and told me to do it and see what happens. So I did the combine and made it through, again.

At this stage I was already doing archery and fencing but the talent squad had picked me for rowing or cycling so that's how I got into it it was almost like a scholarship but without any money or anything lol. Just I was picked as talent and then shuffled off to a rowing club who could use me.

I won a race, I admit that. In a single skull I think 1500m race or maybe 1000m race and I won but I was much better is doubles, quads or the 8 woman boat. Just that "team" they pushed me and I thrived off that yet found it very difficult to push myself when I was on my own.

Our quad was an unstoppable bunch. We came from 4 different schools all found the same way in the talent squad. We were all so much different but we got together and we could row lol. That's all we had andnour technique was atrocious yet we just did well. We beat every private and catholic school, and that's where the real talent was, parents forming out tons of money and that's where real scholarship people came and no joke, those school hated us.

In the end we all quit, none of us 4 girls wanted to do it but we gave it a go and we achieved, had we actually put all our effort into it though I wonder where we could have gone, like I say, girls in the same club we were beating are now Olympic gold medalists.

I stuck to archery though mostly that was always my bread and butter. We had a archery range maybe 10min bike ride from where parents lived. I'd sling bow to back and off I went.

I also did fencing for a while too. I wasn't the worst but it wasn't too "fun" either. I wanted to sword fight. =p but it's very very different.

Still, the looks on people when you come up all face masked and take that armor off and the jaws drop "oh that was a girl!"

Now, for another cup of coffee.

    That pink cake was good!

I even ate some dinner before it, like a good girl.

A nightcap, a face mask, and melancholic russian animation. Not the worst end to a stressful Monday. Hope everyone had a nice day!

Those kind of things never make for a BAD day, per se..there is always something worse that can happen. but they sure do make life a pain in the ass sometimes.

Here growing season isn’t for another 7 weeks so I won’t be growing any tomatoes any time soon but I still enjoy following the progression of spring.

Crocus’s will be coming up soon followed by daffodils, tulips, and of course that yellow niagara of gold (and my all-time favorite flowering bush) Forsythia.
