Academia is generally going to mirror the political majority of the region. 6 eyed is from Oregon so I can sort of understand why he sees everything as an evil liberal conspiracy, he is a minority conservative or libertarian or alt righter or whatever, trapped in a sea of some of the most liberal people in the country.

I live in a conservative region and I get it, it is easy for me to feel overwhelmed and my perception of reality distorted by all the right wingers surrounding me.

In truth the US is a pretty even blend, most people fall somewhere in the middle, with less and less people the further right or left you go. And academia reflects this. There are plenty of conservative leaning universities in this region. And plenty all across the country with no real left or right lean.

It's a case of the shooting in Seattle, WA, of a Sikh by a masked man who told him to go back to his own country. What would your or Six-eyed's guess be about the perpetrator? Far left? Antifa (he was wearing a mask)? Just can't tell? Would it be legitimate to say the incident shows the inherently violent nature of the Right? Just wondering.

 

Well there was his immigration ban which fell thru amongst much backlash....declaring the media the enemy of the people...when a court overturned his immigration ban he replied, "We'll see you in court!"...has declared we will have clean air and water while working to dismantle environmental regulations...has said there was voter fraud causing him to lose the popular vote...plans to go ahead with construction of the wall at the Mexican border...and now says Obama wiretapped Trump Tower.

Now it's your turn to say these are all successes and not failures.

 

Every president has had bans, you simply take exception because your party lost. Obama had bans in place. there is already a wall which each president has extended and land owners on the border have enacted their own walls as well to extend it, Clinton, bush and obama have extended the wall but you freak out because trump says we will build a wall. Ok one of the generalisations you think in that doesn't matter is how liberal Trump is. A liberal business man can be as dubious as a nazi dictator in his policies. It doesn't mean much that he's 'more liberal than Clinton'.
Another good example is how you keep focussing on how all the 'hysteria' is merely coming from the election and how Clinton lost it. No, if you're putting it as such you're the one lingering on that, not all those people who all have their own reasons for protesting the way they do. You're generalizing the protestors and their motives.

There are some people and sites thas give complete neutral acessments of things that that is not all hype. Will give pros and cons, but this is not sensationalized enough and people don't want to read it,,,, boring read. Everything in the media has some truth... but we all have to research it to see if it has been blown out of proportion or downplayed. People say here it is black or white with me... not true at all. It becomes black and white when check the facts and someone states something that is contradictory to facts.

Passing laws and how it works is not false. Trump is actually pro choice.
