yes ur right well i'm talking about his past not his present so i know i really like his music in the early of sixties and 70's
his preformance at woodstock was really powerfull and had real meaning . i"ll get by with a little help from my friends . /peace/
soulful, passionate -- two words that come to mind when I hear 'Joe Cocker' ......that and the SNL skit with John Belushi...... I really like Joe Cocker
actually joe cocker did not know anything about john belushi coming out to impersonate him. he was furious about that and vowed to never return to the show again.
Joe has such a distinctive + passionate voice which is good at interpreting others material such as Beatles covers mentioned, Leon Russell's Delta lady(a tribute to Rita Coolidge), Billy Preston's You are so beautiful + many others.
I dont have a problem with the beatles. they did put out good material, and can I not say something that I honestly believe??
NO! Next question.... HAHAhahaha......just kidding! I, too, like the Beatles' music, but I also think many of the covers done of their songs ARE better than the original. That, too, is only my opinion.
now i know this is a wind up .insulting the beatles " yeah yeah yeah she loves you .back to joe cocker delta lady is a good song . / peace /
oh, yeah, Joe Cocker........... Feelin' Alright She Came in Through the Bathroom Window The Letter Shelter Me Unchain My Heart so many good songs that he does...........
