I have an uncle with a Mexican wife. Like her mom and dad snuck over in a time when it was not sneaking because they needed men to work the fields because all the white citizens were fighting Hitler. It's really odd to see how he does not get that. Wears the red hat, constant facebook posts about all the Fox news talk. I don't use facebook but my sister tells me he had a few paragraphs the other day about how awesome Truman was because when all the white men came back from Europe he threw the Mexicans out so there were jobs. Won't it be great when Trump does that too.
You are aware your dick was in a Mexican right and you have 2 daughters with that DNA? "SAD" as Trump would say.

I am reminded of what Louis CK said. If a man who does not even speak English can take your job you have a shitty job you are the problem. Stop blaming people for your obvious bad choices.

I was too young to really remember for myself, but I recall my mom thinking Quayle was an absolute dumbass.

    Damn right.

If you are a nationally born citizen who works a manual labor or extraction industry job that doesn't require a high school education. Your job is for immigrants, not you!

Somehow, I think this elitist line of thinking cost the DNC the manual laborer vote this last election though..

Interesting that each party considers itself the party of the people that rallies against the rich while they are the common man saving the day. A lot of people in the DNC would say we elected a 1%er who does all he can to make live easy on the 1%. Then the other side says oh but Hillary gets six figures to speak and also caters to bankers. Both are true.

That's probably the root of the problem. Most of us are not rich and we think the other guy is kissing their ass at our expense. There is no left wing in America just middle of the road right and hardcore white Trump style.

Trump conforms to the swamp and bans trensgender people in the military in return for votes for an appropriations bill.

Ivanka and Jared find their limits in Trump's White House

    From the article:

"It’s a world apart from her father’s domestic policies — and one more in line with the first lady-like role that she bristles at. The prime movers behind Trump’s decision to ban transgender people from serving in the military were two of the House’s most conservative members: North Carolina Republican Mark Meadows and the chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, Jim Jordan.

After the failure of an amendment that would have stripped Pentagon funding for gender reassignment surgeries, the duo approached Defense Secretary James Mattis. They discussed a number of options, including a two-year delay on the implementation of Obama administration policy guidelines that permitted Pentagon funding for the surgeries. When that path lead nowhere, they took their case directly to the White House, where they spoke with several officials including Marc Short, the director of legislative affairs."

There is no elitist line in that principle that such a job is for the taking for everyone (including, but not solely for, immigrants). The immigrants just often get the job because it suits the employer best. You're aware of that key point right?

The suit was filed by Rod Wheeler, a Fox commentator.

I doubt it, I rarely ever see the employers creating a demand for a cheap, illegal labor supply implicated in the immigration debate

I watch CNN every day at the gym. It seems like every time I go in there it's something about President Trump on CNN. And it's never anything good. The closest thing was that he signed some sanctions against Russia. I think that's the first time he's done anything that he's supposed to do. Now there's this thing about slashing legal immigration? I think it really deserves its own thread especially if it's going to be a serious effort. I don't think that there should be a restrictive atmosphere... What are the implications? That we'll let just any old person emigrate here? I think that could be a good thing. I get concerned about overpopulation, but this maybe doesn't relate to that. I guess it doesn't matter who they let emigrate here at all. And it's lashing out at people who don't speak English. It's a lot of rhetoric that amounts to extreme prejudice.

Let's not forget that immigrates, many who were illiterate or couldn't speak English, were very instrumental in building this country going back to the colonial era.

Currently the U.S. only accepts 675,000 immigrates per year. There are already many laws in place as to who can immigrate. AIC

It would be beneficial for Trump if he would spend a few weekends visiting the down and out rural regions that he claims he wants to help or one of the inner city areas that he has complained about instead of Trump-owned luxury resorts. This refers to actually visiting these areas and trying to solve problems, as opposed to stopping at an east-coast airport for yet another ego-gratifying victory rally while on his way to one of his resorts.

To date as President he appears to have done only one visit to an area away from the east coast, a stop in Iowa. Areas away from the east coast are deserving of at least some attention.

I agree with you.... but, I think a main reason he likes to stick to the east coast is because if anybody else in the country gets any sense about them and sees him for what he is - he Must Know it will NOT happen on this east coast.

I live in SC....and if you ever hear of more ignorant, backwoods inbred rednecks that are more stupid than the ones I'm familiar with in the south east, I'd love to hear about it. The very fools that are SOOOO into #45 also work under the table and receive food stamps. I think this is true of MANY to MOST of his fan base here. Fools that vote against their own self-interest...but it has always been so in SC, Georgia and NC.
