You don't come across as anyone who would actually fight.

Not what I meant. The respect he got has nothing to do with race. But plenty of people hated him simply because he was black.

You will be better off once you stop making enemies of your fellow Americans and their allies.

Not to bring in other threads here or try to put you down but based on what you write there and here I wonder if you have made some mistakes you are regretting. Is your life off track now in some way and you are just upset at that? If not I think you are wasting your life on anger for nothing. If so there are better ways to get help.

This approach that Trump recently used for the Supreme Court travel ban case is typical of him. He doesn't wish to be perceived as a loser, especially in public court cases. He fought the Polish construction worker lawsuit for 15 years and finally settled in court for a undisclosed amount when the case was ready to go to a public jury trial where he might lose. He's using a similar approach for his travel ban by altering the ban before the court case can go to completion.

In a related matter, it's ironic that Trump bravely fought the case of the Polish worker suit for 15 years, yet when faced with a potential suit from the attorneys general of various states to end DACA he immediately cowered and ended DACA. His ego, pride, and fear of political retribution drive his decisions. The Polish worker suit is a good example. It would have been much cheaper for Trump to settle early than pay the legal fees of a 15-year battle. His ego and fear of being perceived as a loser sometimes mean more to him than his money.

So, ArtofJacob wants people to be loyal to the US. A country that has historically committed genocide, and continues to do so. Hmm

In all fairness...."Stand for something, or fall for anything"...is a famous quote. i put it on my quote thread or somewhere once here, too....and it does not mean you have to stand for what I or anyone else does.

It means you have to stand for something and telling that to someone like he did seems to imply the receiver doesn't stand for anything. Which is bogus. They merely don't stand for the same thing, on one tiny aspect (they may very well agree on many other things) regarding America. Yet he also tells his fellow citizens who happen to think different on that aspect to go move to another country :p

    :D in all fairness...

well, no, you don't have to stand for anything....either...It is just a well known quote I heard from somewhere once, and i do not remember the author.....so many quotes are debatable.....if you get right down to it....and can be kind of stupid.......and i do get tired of quotes, too.........even though, i quoted much......myself.......i want to write my own words from now on though,.

It is just ironic that he argues you must stand for something

When this whole debacle started because a football player stood (well, figuratively) for something
