Jonathan Smith, 30, saved ~30 people last night before he was shot in the neck. He might live w/the bullet for rest of his life.

 

I wish mass shooters werent cowards who kill themselves before the police even get there so we could learn more about the psychology of it all

As repulsive as it is, I find the psychology behind it interesting. The majority of mass shooters fit a particular profile - white, late teens/early twenties, most seem fairly affluent but also socially alienated. History of psychiatric illness and psychiatric medicine...

With a few exceptions - the guy that shot up that abortion clinic a couple of years ago didnt fit the profile, but he was driven by some misguided religious beliefs

Then this guy. I hate to even say I find this fascinating because that's probably what these killers crave, recognition and notoriety, but I did find it interesting as I was reading what police have found about him so far...he's wealthy, owns real estate, is a high stakes gambler, in a long term relationship..it will be interesting to see what his girlfriend reveals about him over the next few days. His neighbors have described him as unfriendly, kept to himself, etc. His brother said he didn't see it coming at all

What in the world drives someone to do something like this

 

Unfriendly is the common thread.

The sad thing to me is rather then deal with the facts everyone excuses or endorses them because they think the shooter is in the other politcal party.
People saying it does not matter if people die because they vote Trump. The amount of people who think this Democratic party motivated are too damn high. So that means it's not actuly an issue with gun laws at all just those people who hate our dear leader and are mad about the election. It's ridiculous. Of course when people who are clearly Trump voters and racist (you don't have to be both but many are) do the same thing it's only "mental health" and again let's not talk about the guns.

The special argument about this one seems to be "see I prove gun laws do not work because he had illegal guns". Yeah let's just ignore how easily a legal gun becomes illegal and how often gun owners do this.

Something not right about this interview. He shows little grief, only shock and confusion. He also tells the reporters several times not to visit his 90 year old mother. Why isn't he with his mother?

There were reportedly 59+ killed and 500 injured, but the video of footage I've seen shows little evidence of this. Only people ducking for cover and scrambling to get away.

 

This is the fucking Alamogordo of mass murders, and no one on the left that I’m aware of is dismissing the seriousness of this horrific act out of hatred for the president.

From what I observed shortly after the incident, the chatrooms were inundated with a profile of the shooter which suggested he was a far-left liberal who went off the rails.

He was going through a divorce

This cough cough "girlfriend", who was actually in Japan visiting "friends"at the time, holiday snaps all over the world, family in Dubai, was obviously taking him to the cleaners, although he probably was the type to have to pay anyone to be around him


I dont know what a country music festival has to do with it, apparently the girlfriend stayed at the hotel 3 years ago, and went to the same concert


I hope to god it wasnt something stupid like that, this girlfriend dumped him, fond memories they had together 3 years ago that turned sour.....take it out on this years concert goers

I'm seeing a disturbing trend going on.

These mass shootings reflect a problem with both American gun laws and mental health issues.

Republicans have traditionally been pro-gun and against universal healthcare. The utopia we've created? More crazy people with easier access to firearms than to medicine.

But when something like this happens, what do we do? Do we go, 'gee...maybe we were wrong'?

No.

We start saying that these tragedies are staged conspiracies to justify the left's attempt a disarming us.

 

These mass shootings indicate a national psycho anger . If ever you
swallowed the SandyHook you are also at risk of being dangerous .
Unconscious anger can suddenly arise and be deadly . And the war
comes home .

 

Happy to see a gun owner admit that point. In a chaotic situation like that who is the "good guy" these people always talk about? You do not know unless they are wearing a uniform I suppose. But the average Joe is probably wearing what the bad guy shooter is. And how you do know you will aim right. I think I posed this in another gun thread but I had a friend who killed a WW 2 vet attempting to shoot a burglar. The vet lived next door and the bullet went though a wall. He had shot since he was a child and was the guy who taught me how to use a gun. He was big on safety like good trigger discipline for example. He knew what he was doing and he still missed in a chaotic situation which is nothing like the gun range. You can''t really prepare until you are there.

And still think these reasons are stupid, there are witnesses who saw dead bodies, hospitals are full, you can't fake something like this.

And people can laugh when someone dies, the only people who think laughter becomes impossible during the grieving process are people who have never grieved

But I did watch that video the cab driver posted earlier that looks like a muzzle flash coming from a low floor that is definitely not the 32nd floor. It is a little odd, I'm not usually a conspiracy theorist but seeing what appears to be a muzzle flash from a lower floor is ..off for sure. Have you seen it?

 

I'm just going by what I've seen. Considering 9/11 and Sandy Hook.. we all need to ask questions about everything we're told in the media. The mainstream media have been proven many times to lie to us on purpose, and false flags have been planned and executed.

If an apparently normal guy can go nuts out of the blue and do this, then it's also possible that the people running the governments of the world behind the curtains are also bat shit crazy.

I saw a clip of some light flashing from a lower floor but it was nowhere near conclusive of anything. A light reflecting off a window, a gun firing? Who knows.

I'm considering the possibility that this guy could be a patsy, or maybe doesn't exist and the photos we're being fed are just photos of the guy who is pretending to be his brother. Or maybe some guy did go nuts and do this. With the world as crazy as it is right now I'm open to all possibilities.

Interestingly though as well, a local news reel today interviewing some Scottish people who were caught up in it. Someone who plays bowls regularly with my Mum apparently was on telly getting interviewed about it, so I'll eventually hear a first hand, second hand etc. account of what happened through my mum when she comes home and plays bowls again. Small world...

 

This is the reflection of police lights. ITs just a coincidence it matches with muzzle blast. look close enough you can see blue flashes in the glass also. There are no broken windows on those floors, and can not be opened from the inside.

What I dont get it is. How anyone below didnt spot the glass falling..

 

If there was nobody below where the glass landed, noone would hear it because of the music from the concert.
