Why bring Bible into discussion about solid, trustworthy genealogy records.

Its a bit disturbing how people (choose to!) misinterprete others because they don't like what they're saying.
Irmi acts like we're criticizing or doubting her claim to noble ancestry because we're pointing out certain claims are dubious or hard to verify, but nobody here did say that about her bloodline...
I have said nothing about Aeri's claim to the norman Bigod family but Magickman acts like I'm attacking every one who claims to descent from royalty (I was talking specificly about when people go from royalty/nobility to mythology like Odin, and act like its a reliable genealogical record, while it is FACT it is not) . It's a bit lame and I'm disappointed how unneccesary personally some of you are taking this. You're better than that.

The wound above Emma's eye is open and draining this morning. I hope it's not infected.

Two of my finger's are bruised and swollen from the leash but I wasn't letting go of Emma.

In hind sight, after 5 years of them letting their dogs out to charge us, I think they believed that if they said my dog started the fight then I'd be in trouble.

The police officer said they had admitted to their dog getting out the front door and charging out of it's yard to attack us.

It's like they never thought, all this time, that it would land in their laps.

Irmi acted like the bible and the norse sagas are not under the same level of historic scrutiny.
She also implies we're rejecting the historical value of them because we acknowledge we can't rely on the genealogical records in them (not for biased reasons, but because they conflict with other historical sources: that's how people got there. Not because they do not grant others their fantastical convictions). But no one is denying the enormous historical value of these books.

That sucks...I'm lucky enough to live in the sticks and don't really have any neighbors. I can't see anyone's house from my place.

Indeed. The ones acknowledging this are not the biased ones. And we're also not saying that by acknowledging they're not reliable genealogical records, that they suddenly have no historical value at all. People can even use them for genealogical reasons! But scrutiny should be applied, and sensible criticism expected when people pass them of as fact when it is at best unlikely.

The oldest known ancestor from my dads side lived in the 1600s and carried the same first name as myself. We don't know anything else about him except where he lived and what kind of offspring he had. Probably a farmer or average citizen. It's still pretty cool :) ...and a bit unsettling that in 400 years his descendants still live in roughly the same area :p Happily my moms side comes from somewhere else so the risks of inbreeding are diminished there ;)

Of course :p In regards to Aeri's genealogical record the above facts prove nothing yet. What matters in that regard is how exactly she is connected to these historical people. Not the irrefutable facts they're in the Domesday book or owned those places ;)

Guess it's easier for some people to post a meme rather than back their own arguments up. Lol. Tells me they got nothin'. :p I also google searched genealogy through historic poetry and texts which produced results of what I'd already known.

Anyway I'm done with the subject. You're all a pack of Mongrel bastards anyway. :p
