OK, I admit that I don't like to see Asian people called Gooks and Goons. And I don't like to see African people called Kafirs and Hooligans. And I don't like to see Arabs called rag heads and camel jockeys. I have noticed some White Americans act like they are offended when some one calls them Red Necks or bigots.
OK, getting back to Trump policies, he has passed in the tax bill a provision which gives the very rich a way to roll their interest rate deduction to the next year, to avoid paying taxes. He has told his friends that they now have a huge gift in that new tax law. One such executive from the publishing business has given himself a $15000000 bonus. That is fifteen million dollars! And it is on top of his regular pay. If you divide 15 million into three thousand dollars, you get 5000. That means 5000 people could get a $3000 increase in their pay this year, this Christmas. But, only one executive -ultra rich- will get that chunk of dough.
What should scare all you youngins' is the stated goal of the republicans to do away with all the programs that benefit the hard pressed. They can't wait to "rid us"of social security, welfare, food stamps, etc, so that that money will be subject to being grabbed by THEM. They've always wanted to get rid of anything Roosevelt.
Why mainly the youngins'? Or is that figure of speech? Seems the older peeps who aren't rich (yes, its not just the poorest) should be at least as weary. One financial setback and a nasty ailment will be enough to make people struggle till death to try to get their basic needs...
I agree with you there, I don't like racist names. I didn't realize that Goon was a racist term. I was just being derogatory in general, towards his disregard for human life. And nature.
Funny how you make the Republicans out to be the "Rich" people...Do you know what Nancy Pelosi is worth (all jokes aside, lol) ? A cool 77 million dollars.
The republican politics generally seem to favor corporations and rich people. No one's putting it like all republicans are rich and all democrats are noble poor or middle class people
And as much as I hate Pelosi I would be shocked if she ever voted to cut Medicare, Medicaid or Social Security. If a Republican ever voted to cut these programs it wouldn't be shocking in the least.
Where have you been? They've been trying it for decades. Ryan has been leading the charge. They came close in the G.W. Bush Administration, trying to persuade us to go for a stock investment program in lieu of Social Security. And then the stock market crashed, Obama came in, and that idea was shelved. It's back on the table again.
To the Rich Republicans 77 million is a small joke. They deal in much bigger numbers. Some of them have Yachts that are worth four times more than that. Kushner is worth ten times more than Pelosi, and he is still a kid. Sheldon Addelson is worth 37 billion plus. I just attempted to divide 37 billion into 77 million; but, my calculator will not let me type in 37 billion!
Trump held only one solo news conference in 2017. It was in the larger East Room of the White House, not the formal, distraction-free, Brady press briefing room that Trump has yet to use for a personal news conference. Trump has shown a preference for short press appearances in larger venues with less press control, greater distance from the reporters, and with foreign dignitaries beside him. It's as if the distance and dignitaries serve as a security blanket for him Trump held only one press conference this year. Trump has spent almost one-third of presidency at one of his properties By Rebecca Savransky 12/25/17 09:10 AM EST Trump has spent almost one-third of presidency at one of his properties: report excerpts: "President Trump has spent nearly one-third of his time in office at one of his company's properties, according to a Wall Street Journal review of the president's travel. According to the review, during Trump's first year in office, he spent more than 100 days at one his properties, including nearly 40 days at his golf course in Bedminster, N.J. Early on in his presidential campaign, Trump said that if elected, he would “rarely leave the White House because there’s so much work to be done.” “I would not be a president who took vacations,” he said. “I would not be a president that takes time off.”"
Maybe I should move to D.C. and find myself a rich Republican's daughter, Lol weed legal there too, go figure.
hahaha--reminds--I called the white house to talk to Nixon during the Watergate hearings. Drunk and pissed of course. Musta' been busy that day.
All Haitian immigrates have aids and Nigerians live in huts. Guess who said that? The NY Timess reported:
