Trump used scrooge tactics to try to drive out lower income tenants from a building that he wanted to convert into a luxury high rise in the 1980's. It could serve as the storyline for a Christmas scrooge TV episode.

Trump is still using such intimidation tactics today, an example being his construction of a fence around the property of a couple who he's been trying drive out who are adjacent to his golf course in Scotland. Trump billed the couple for the construction cost, the same tactic he is trying to use for his proposed Mexican border wall.

Trump didn't show any sympathy for the Christmas wishes of his working class tenants in the 1980's and continued to not show interest in Christmas in general until he started seriously thinking about running for President. He was seen at Values Voter Summit in 2015 raising a Bible and praising Christianity to try to win over the evangelical vote. Trump stole the Christmas idea from Bill O'Reilly of Fox who had been on a rant for years about a supposed ban on the freedom to say Merry Christmas.

 

A look at the compassion of Donald Trump, the man who supposedly leads people through the valley of darkness and liberates them from a fictitious ban on the phrase Merry Christmas.

"After John and Susan Munro refused to sell their home to Trump, he built a 15-foot-high bank of earth on two sides of their house on a half-acre plot that obliterated their sweeping views across open land to a lighthouse in the distance.

And for the Forbes family, his presence here has been nothing short of a nightmare.

"We've had a taste of Trump for 11 years. I wouldn't trust him with anything," said Sheila Forbes, 70. She has lived on land that borders Trump's with her husband, Michael, a farmer and fisherman, for more than 40 years. The Forbeses claim that Trump's workers have harassed them since they refused to sell their property and its 24 acres for what they, too, said was an offer at half the market value.

In one especially troubling allegation, the couple said Trump's workers sabotaged a water pipe that left them and Michael Forbes' 92-year-old mother, who lives in her own nearby house, without clean drinking water for five years.

"We're going to fight him to the very end," Sheila Forbes said, adding that Trump was "nae mair (no more) Scottish than a flea in the air."

Trump has publicly called Michael Forbes a "disgrace" who "lives like a pig.""

In Ocrober 2017 Trump didn't have enough sense to know the solemness of Retreat as it was being played at an Air National Guard base in PA. Trump boasted that it was for him or for Sean Hannity's Fox TV ratings.

Hannity was as clueless as Trump.

Trump attended a military academy and claims he knows more than the generals, yet he is oblivious to the fact that one should be silent during the playing of Retreat. Ordinary civilians in the background at the event knew enough to stand and be quiet.

In a similar incident Melania had to nudge his arm to get him to put his hand over his heart during the playing of the National Anthem at the 2017 Easter event.

In light of all of this, Trump is still on his three-decade grudge against the NFL due to his failed USFL venture and complaining about NFL players who kneel quietly instead of stand during the National Anthem.
