Right, its sort of like the people who get offended...by people who are offended. Lol I guess I just don't really understand why you come in this thread, the title of the thread is pretty straightforward. You know what you're getting here And I'm just going to point out again people like to come in here to bitch about people "bitching" about Trump , and yet no Trumpets have bothered contributing anything positive about him. I wonder why.
That's not true. I've mentioned how the Dow has seen new all time highs ever since He's been in office. I've mentioned how Americans having jobs and a lower trade rate will allow us more even trade with the rest of the world. 20% rate is easier to get countries to trade with than 40+ percent. The thread is called "The Donald Trump Score Card", I don't see why I should omit myself from this thread based on that name. It doesn't say "Trump fans shut the fuck up and stay out, this is a place for Dems to come and shit on Trump's (and his fans' heads), or at least I've never seen that definition on this thread. I happen to believe this country needed Donald Trump to make America great again, just like he said. He's a businessman, and Washington as a whole has done very very poor world business over the years. He's "trimming the fat" which we have needed for a very long time. Other countries don't disrespect us as much now since we no longer have a very weak leader like Obama in office. Our military is stronger, more jobs coming back home, better free trade, less excess spending on frivolous things (think U.N. ....) I have every right to be on this thread just as much as YOURSELF, or any other Hip Forum Member, as I also have a right to voice my own opinion, not just jump on the bandwagon kicking him in the balls. Don't go making frivolous accusations to try and bully me. Have a mice day...
He says a lot of things. Some are clearly lies. Other stuff wishful nonsense. My point: he's bluffing and its pretty stupid to rely on his word. Lol do you really believe this? Which countries? Lol @ acting like Meliai is the bully here and playing the rights card. Nobody is denying you a right. It was just pointed out that you were whining about others criticizing Trump in this thread.
I'm not bullying you, dont be silly. Dont take what I say so personally I'm merely pointing out that if you're sick of people bitching about Trump you can easily avoid this thread instead of coming in here to bitch about people keeping on topic and talking about Trump. I dont want to hear 40 year old basement dwellers talk about masturbation so instead of going in the masturbation threads to tell people I dont want to hear it, I just avoid the masturbation threads. See how that works? You must not be THAT sick of hearing people bitch about Trump if you're following this thread If you have something to contribute to the thread that's obviously a different story, havent I been saying people should contribute and share what they like about Trump? Just make sure what you're saying is true or your opinions can be disputed pretty easily. Did you happen to fact check what you said about countries respecting us more before you said it? Why do you think that, what is your evidence? It isnt true, the US's standing in the world is falling https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.usnews.com/news/best-countries/articles/2017-11-16/us-global-image-takes-another-hit-under-donald-trump-in-international-ranking?context=amp
and where did you get those statistics? I don't like reading about 40 yo basement dwellers talk about perverted shit either, but it's that, this Trunp-bashing thread, or music, basically. Perhaps you could come up with some more constructive, happy threads about hip life. Perhaps I should find a different site to frequent, so I'll be leaving all you Trump- haters alone in all your sorrow and misery. I listen to music while I post here, sharing it on the music thread. Sure glad I don't get attacked there! That will probably be next, huh! I wouldn't take you so personally, if you weren't constantly jumping on me every time I present an opinion on this thread. This is a public internet forum, you know...anybody is free to post here, you don't get to pick, choose or bully people your way. Again, have a mice day!
He has never been honest, according to those that have had dealings with him. I honestly can't think of anything good about the guy. To me, he's an ugly, dangerous bully and he needs to be OUT of there. And I believe he will be, hopefully sooner rather than later. He's corrupting the whole idea of a democracy. That pose of his with his arms crossed, a disdainful look on his mug, with his nose in the air, looks just like Mussolini. IMO, he is a sociopath gifted with the experience of a lifetime and he is so mentally twisted that he is putting this country in grave danger.
And this tax bill they just passed for those like Trump will enrich him by untold millions--as planned. Some have said recently that he would save 11 million, but I don't know in which time frame that the figure relates to. It's all about money for Trump and his self aggrandizing cronies.
You don't get to choose who responds to you either. I'm not sure you get how forums work. You are free to post your opinion and others are free to disagree with you. I'm not singling you out, i just dont agree with some of the stuff you say and I respond and explain why. Thats how forums work. It has nothing to do with you personally, just your views.
Why do you need to insult him on a personal level? What do you care if he lives in Flanders, or Oslo, or Botswana for that matter?
I have seen several TV shows where the host or guest was saying Trump, Ryan, and all the Freedom Caucus extremists have plans to use the big deficit that they created by their tax bill to go after people on Social Security, Medicare, and Medicare, and TANF, and CHIP, and so on. 2018 could be an interesting election year!
You're entitled to your opinions but not to your own facts and Foxspeak half truths. The stock market was soaring right before the Great Depression but then took a pratfall, and the boosters ended up jumping out of the windows of tall buildings. You give Trump sole credit for the Dow's record heights. Give Janice Yellen some too. I think Trump deserves credit for encouraging expectations that his tax bill favoring fat cats and rich corporations at the expense of the poor and dismantling of economic regulations would be great for the investor class. Just over half of the U.S. population owns stocks, which is the lowest rate in the past two decades, and most of their holdings are modest. The robber barons are ecstatic. But what goes up, must come down. The bull market is long in the tooth, and the usual Santa Claus rally that should be going on right now doesn't seem to be happening. The tax cut stimulus may goose the economy a little more, but it's doubtful that the growth rates predicted by the supply-siders will come to pass. And eventually the bills will come due. Social Security and Medicare have been Republican targets since forever, health will suffer from the sabotaging of Obamacare, and environmental gains since the seventies will be rolled back. Trump talks about big spending on infrastructure, but his plans are modest and the trillion dollar increase from the tax bill will leave little resources for that. By ramming their tax bill through and excluding Democrats, Republicans used up a lot of political capital they'd need to get Democrat support for anything. Trump has filled the key cabinet positions and judgeships with incompetent political hacks, continues to violate the emoluments clause by running his hotel business which lobbyists foreign diplomats book rooms in to curry favors, practices flagrant nepotism by the power conferred on his daughter and son-in-law, and degrades the office of the presidency with his vulgar, divisive tweets. No amount of sugar coating could make this turd palatable. Yes he's a businessman, a crooked one throughout his career, whose string of business bankruptcies bear witness to his inadequacies in that line of work. His experience was in a family-owned business where he was unaccustomed to backtalk. He has no government experience whatsoever, and that is a bad thing where Presidents are concerned. I doubt that any other country respects him, or us for electing him. Russia, China and the Arab princes have learned that a little stroking of his childlike ego can have him eating out of their hands. That's not respect! China has been the main beneficiary of his abandonment of multilateralism in Asia. And did you mean wish us a "mice" day?
And now we get Trump's infrastructure push. Remember when he promised $1 trillion dollars for infrastructure? Guess what, it's already down to $200 billion. Such a businessman! He's already lost $800 billion dollars! Where does the extra $800 billion come from? The states and cities. Here's the deal. Want some of the $200 billion? Trump will give you a little, but you have to raise the rest on your own. How? Maybe strong arm some private investors, but more likely raise the sales tax, tolls, electricity rates, bus services, fuel tax, etc. All at the same time the feds will be cutting funding for those very services, due to the massive Trump tax cut. But, hey, isn't it a good idea to give tax credits to private investors willing to improve our infrastructure...and get the damn government out of supporting these things? The free market can build better roads than any "big Brother" wasteful, corrupt government. Trump's mafia buddies in the concrete business must be ecstatic.
Trump builds his 2018 political message by rebranding Obama’s economic legacy After disputing economic gains under his predecessor, the president is seizing the same trends as his own. By BEN WHITE and NANCY COOK 12/28/2017 05:03 AM EST Trump builds his 2018 political message by rebranding Obama’s economic legacy "But hard economic data on growth, job creation and wages look very similar to the last several years under Obama. The pace of job growth actually slowed slightly to 174,000 per month in 2017 through November, compared with 187,000 per month in Obama’s final year. Even Trump’s stock market performance is similar to or trails Obama’s. In the first 11 months of Obama’s presidency, the Standard & Poor’s 500 rose 37 percent. It rose 18 percent under Trump. The Dow rose 30 percent in Obama’s first 11 months to Trump’s 24 percent. "
Trump claims he signed more legislation in his first year than any other president in history. He signed 96, although he claimed he signed 88. He can't even get his fake news right. And Truman? 240.
Shouldn't it also be primarily matter WHAT he signs. Not the amount, like that's the most important part of this 'competition'?
States like Oklahoma and Kansas don't even have enough money to keep basic services and the schools functioning properly. The state tax cuts that were implemented in Oklahoma a few years ago had damaging effects on the school system with some schools now having a four-day week. How such states will deal with a call for increased infrastructure spending remains to be seen. States see Trump's infrastructure promise slipping away by Lydia DePillis December 19, 2017: 12:34 PM ET States see Trump's infrastructure promise slipping away excerpt: "The first problem: There will be a lot less money to go around after tax reform. The nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation has calculated the tax bill will add about $1 trillion to the debt — even after economic growth is taken into account — and local leaders fear Congress won't want to expand the deficit even further. "How are you going to make that up, and what does that mean for spending more money?" said Adam Krantz, chief executive officer of the National Association of Clean Water Agencies. "It was always 'infrastructure, infrastructure, infrastructure,' and now you have tax reform, and it's going to be very difficult to get conservative support for an infrastructure bill." Meanwhile, the GOP's tax package also caps the amount of state and local taxes that filers are able to deduct from their federal income taxes, which may weaken support for future tax hikes proposed by counties, states and cities. That poses a problem, since the ability to contribute local revenue is a large part of how the White House plans to decide which applications are granted."
Kansas Republicans scrapped the state's disastrous tax cuts that look a lot like Trump's plan Raul Hernandez Jun. 8, 2017, 11:54 AM Kansas Republicans scrapped the state's disastrous tax cuts that look a lot like Trump's plan excerpt "President Trump's most recent tax proposal similarly aims to reduce the tax burden for businesses by dropping the business tax rate from 35% to 15%. The aim with these types of cuts is to spur economic growth. After all, if businesses have more money in hand, they can, theoretically, hire more people and invest in making new products. But ask some Kansans and you'll learn how that kind of tax cut could have serious unintended consequences. Instead of spurring business investment and job creation, researchers from a number of institutions say it turned more into a "tax avoidance" program. A lot of white-collar workers like law partners, accountants, and doctors stopped taking salaries and instead started claiming the profits of the business. For them, state income tax essentially went from a maximum of 4.6% to nothing. This has led to the ongoing budget crisis."
