The year that I moved north the temp got down to -30. A few years ago it was down to -45. I generally try not to leave my house when it gets so cold.

Does falling through the ice of a frozen lake count?

Not sure. I did live in Maine for a little while. 20 below for sure, but a few nights may have been colder.

isn't that generally about 33 degrees? i see way colder answers here.

i've fallen into frozen water at least twice that i can remember myself. once fell through the ice on a creek at a friend's house, and once fell while crossing a log over a just barely frozen river in the woods near my house.

edit: i forgot to answer the actual question. which is, i don't know. i really don't pay much attention to temperatures. once it gets down to around zero, it all feels the same to me. painful.
