winter temps wont give up here.. no snow or anything but just below freezing.. cant get much done outside ..

I've decided that my favorite tree is the madrone.

It's a deciduous tree that has leaves all year round. And the bark is soft and smooth like silk, with a beautiful but indescribable hue of red. When the bark sheds itself, the trunk turns bright green.

The berries are edible. They don't taste all that good though
