Reveling in the limelight,
A more polite and diplomatic Patton,
His alter-ego,
Lost in the spotlights of Crystal City.
Never forget who you are fighting for!

And why George Washington,
Was just another one of us.
Who read his Bible every day,
And prayed for redemption of his sins.
Anyone could walk right up to his front door,
Be invited in for a cup of tea.
Julius Caesar would tell his troops jokes,
The night before going into battle.
One of us only has meaning,
If someone is actually listening.
The Chinese and other countries,
Refer to their army as "Their Army",
And not hired thugs for sale around the world.
They frequently jump into civilian trenches,
And start digging along side their compatriots,
Building a better future for the entire nation.​

 

I love that its ant-intellectualism.

Difference is tax cuts for the rich is helping people WHO HAVE ALREADY HELPED THEMSELVES.

 

The tax cuts apply to all skin colors equally. I would hope that Jay Z and Beyonce and Oprah trickle down their tax windfalls you seem to assume they will get.

I cannot see how the outer coloring of a person affects their ability to do their job.
Problems only arise when they have been elected for all the wrong reasons and they feel under pressure to pacify the group that has put them into power.
This has already happened in several parts of Africa.

I believe that's called a "strawman argument."

The reason we have a Black poverty problem in the U.S. is slavery. Blacks in Europe have pretty much the same socioeconomic status as whites. Why? Blacks weren't used as slaves there.

It's tough to break out of poverty. It takes at least two family generations of financial success to make it out.

 

That's an interesting perspective. Especially since the largest number of poor in the US are white. But then, there were indeed white people in north American history who were bought and sold, so maybe you have a point.

I personally think that we have a substantially greater set of class issues at play than race issues. The race issues serve as the perfect distraction from the class issues and keep the wealthy safe and secure while the "serfs" battle it out amongst each other over trite issues like sexuality and race.

Jordan Peterson, Harvard and University of Toronto professor gave a scathing critique of intellectualism that was quite good. Youre probably not interested in it though.

 

I've listened to his stuff extensively, and while I disagree with a lot of it, he sure does know how to debate well. His critiques are indeed scathing, to the point where he could make a perfectly reasonable argument seem foolish.

 

Money Bags

In the land of opportunity,
The problem with tax cuts,
Is they apply to the rich and famous.
Who sometimes even threaten,
To, take their money elsewhere!
If they don't get everything they want.
What comes around goes around,
One sweaty palm greases the other.
Bankers are merely the book keepers,
The sales people, inform the paparazzi,
The public votes, for the loudest clown,
While the man with the gun is the arbitrator,
Reminding everyone what their money bags are worth.​
