Problem I have with rune stones is someone just carves Runes in them and sells. There's nothing about them remotely interesting. And they are sold to people interested in Rune casting, but you need to enchant them really. They are Talismanic items, should be very personal. My proper good stones, I built a rune circle, blessed them, enchanted them with blood, mead and poetry. they're mine. They are blood bound to me. I've hexed them to curse anyone else who uses them. They are hidden in a safe. with a big sign that warns my miss "don't touch h me, don't open me, cursed" lol.

 

Arm chair coach, quarterback, team owner, crew chief and race driver here. If the idiots listen to me we'd hardly ever lose a race or a game.

 

I know we have 9 of our best 5 players (yeah, it's that bad) injured, but still...just listen to me.

I like the idea of wood tokens for Runes too cause with rocks they're really just scratched in where wood I can really get into and it would bind the rune to the object so to speak.

I made my own Runes many years ago, with what my book suggested- A certain wood, dried limb, cut each piece with a hacksaw, sanded it and used the appropriate colored paint stick for the sigils.

But no, that's the best thing about paganism and heathenism and mythological religions is in much of them there is no dictating or commandments, just advice and suggestions for you to live by.
