It's understandable why Gary Cohn exited the Trump administration.

I've Seen The Horror Of Trump's Tariffs Before, With Reagan's Terrible Trade Policies

    excerpt:

"Like many of the president’s pronouncements, the details were nowhere to be found. But apparently the president’s authority will be drawn from the Trade Expansion Act of 1962. This act gives the president the authority to restrict imports and impose tariffs if the current reliance on particular imports poses a security threat.

Well, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, an arch-protectionist, has already given President Trump the “green light.” And if that isn’t enough, Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis has joined the economic policy debate, for which he has no qualifications. Mattis, of course, is playing the national security card.

And then there are Trump’s trade specialists, notably Robert Lighthizer, the U.S. Trade Representative, and Peter Navarro, who was recently elevated to Director of Trade and Industrial Policy and Director of the White House National Trade Council. Both Lighthizer and Navarro are dyed-in-the-wool protectionists and have never seen a tariff or quota that they didn’t fall in love with."

This whole Michelle Wolf "controversy" has made me realize something

I was thinking about how Obama use to attend the Correspondent's dinners and he would laugh at the comedians.

And it made me realize i've never seen Trump laugh. I think thats why he creeps me out so bad. I really don't think he has a sense of humor

Just a random thought, thought I would share

Also Michelle Wolf is my new hero.

He can not handle criticism. He has tried to sue comedians over jokes. And notice how he HAS to respond on Twitter to anything. It's a textbook symptom of his mental illnesses. He literally can not comprehend the idea people do not love him. He craves the attention.

I believe I know why trump is dismantling Obama's policies. Trump took the brunt of Obama's jokes at the correspondent's dinner in 2011. Because trump thinks he should not be made fun of, he got pissed. He is now paying Obama back.
A rather immature attitude, but what else is new?

The Freedom Caucus writes up articles of impeachment....against Rosenstein.

It's one more symbolic gasp at trying to evade doom, like Wile E. Coyote holding up the umbrella to shield himself from the falling boulder.

Trump-allied House conservatives draft articles of impeachment against Rosenstein as ‘last resort’

Trump-allied House conservatives draft articles of impeachment against Rosenstein as ‘last resort’

    excerpt:

"Conservative House allies of President Trump have drafted articles of impeachment against Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein, who oversees the ongoing special counsel probe, setting up a possible GOP showdown over the federal investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

The document, which was obtained by The Washington Post, underscores the growing chasm between congressional Republican leaders, who have maintained for months that special counsel Robert S. Mueller III should be allowed to proceed, and rank-and-file GOP lawmakers who have repeatedly battled the Justice Department during the past year.

The draft articles, which one of its authors called a “last resort,” would be unlikely to garner significant support in Congress. But the document could serve as a provocative political weapon for conservatives in their standoff with Mueller and the Justice Department.

Members of the conservative House Freedom Caucus — led by Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.), a Trump confidant — finalized the draft in recent days. It came after weeks of disputes with Rosenstein over the Justice Department’s response to congressional requests for documents about the decisions and behavior of federal law enforcement officials working on the Russia investigation and other federal probes, including the investigation into 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s email server."

Trump is still holding a grudge against an editor at Vanity Fair who in the 1990's said Trump had small hands.

Trump on the phone has posed as a publicity agent for himself using a fake name to smear the reputation of a wife he was divorcing in the 1980's.

He has used, apparently, an underhanded approach that may have violated laws to hide a relationship with a porn star that he thought might hurt his image.

He clearly has some psychological issues with himself that are in need of treatment. It's unfortunate that he still has a significant number of enablers who are apologizing for it and promoting it, including former White House physician Dr. Ronny Jackson.

Trump's current situation of being formally exposed of these types of personal issues by criminal investigations and the media is a worst-case scenario for him. In the past he was accustomed to being the one who created a smear story about others and have the media believe and pursue it. Now he's on the receiving end of it.

His frustration was clearly evident during his 30-minute rant on Fox & Friends. The three Fox TV Trump-enabler hosts who usually maintain their happy faces looked grim and had to cut him off at the end. Even to them it wasn't funny anymore.

The 30-minute rant of Trump on Fox & Friends sounded like a psychiatric therapy session.

Kellyanne Conway has said that there will likely be more of these therapy sessions. She indicated that there may be one per month plus unscheduled 'breaking news events' of Trump phoning Fox, somewhat like an emergency distress call made by a patient to a psychiatrist.

Also Trump must be the sort who likes to step on people and dominate them. Maybe that would be the type of persona needed to become a Billionaire. Think about it: You would need to earn about $138000 each day of your life to have $780 million in the bank at age 36 like Kushner. And you would need to earn $1.7 million dollars each day of your life to end up with $37 Billion in the bank like big Sheldon. So, that persona must have no sense of humor or compassion for others...just step on 'em on the way to the top.

So you interject hate towards Muslims again? They did protest the Saudi Prince. Most Muslims know the Saudi Royal family are pieces of shit and need to be removed from governing. The Saudi royals seem to have good relations with TRUMP? WHY?

I don't think so either, but if she can get it to trial, the discovery could be interesting.

The way I understand it, Avenatti is using nearly a word for word replay of a similar case by Trump & Cohen. It's a tough one to call.

Begala: Donald Trump is no 'idiot.' He's something worse

Donald Trump is no 'idiot.' He's something worse (opinion) - CNN

    excepts:

"I think Donald J. Trump is plenty bright. Not in the intellectual, Mensa-meeting sense, but he has, I think, an undeniable intelligence. He is street smart, savvy, clever. No one can be that conniving and be an idiot.

So why the disconnect? Why do I as an outside analyst see an intelligence that those closest to the President do not? Because there are different kinds of intelligence that are useful for different purposes. The kind of intelligence I believe Trump has is enormously useful if you want to, say, be a politician -- even better if you want to be a demagogue.

He has a cynical, innate intelligence for what his base wants to hear. It's like a divining rod for division, prejudice and stereotyping.

He has an unerring sense for how to command media attention, whether it was assuming a pseudonym and leaking the "Best Sex I Ever Had" myth to the New York tabloids, or dominating water coolers across the country by attacking NFL players who kneel during the National Anthem. It's like he knows what every barstool blowhard is about to say before he or she even says it.

The problem is, Trump's idiosyncratic intelligence, while enough to propel him to the White House, does not serve him well for the job of President. He lacks, by most accounts, the broad curiosity, the policy depth, the healthy skepticism of his own positions, the attention span, the appreciation of nuance, and most of all, the intellectual humility that successful presidents must have."
