Your pictures of trees

Here is a photo of a tree that I liked on the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was like a lonely sentinel standing watch over the rolling hills below (at least in my overactive imagination).

Madrone Tree



This is my favorite local tree species. They keep leaves all winter long, the bark is a striking red hue, and when the bark peels the trunk turns lime green. The bark is smooth like a baby's ass.

 

Japanese maple on my front lawn at sunrise....this tree is framed perfectly out my front door window....whoever planted it anted it to be seen
