    @Aerianne

Sorry you are going through all of this. Sad fact that we all have to admit someday is that both alcoholism and domestic abuse is higher in the gay community. I hope all three of you prevail and come out of this situation better and stronger. It must be heart breaking as a mom to watch your child go through this.

    Hugs homegirl. Stay strong.

    It is heartbreaking.

My daughter has her faults. She drinks but not daily. She hadn't drank for 5 days before this incident on Sunday night.

Her wife, is a heavy drinking alcoholic. My daughter told me instances that have been occurring with more frequency in which her wife drinks to excess and becomes verbally and physically abusive.

The incident Sunday was one. She picked an argument with my daughter and began verbally abusing her. She ended by pushing my daughter in the pool and banging my daughters head.

My daughter fought back and also let it fly that she had slept with the wife's best friend, who also happened to be her best man. It happened once, the weekend before which was a few days after he'd witnessed the wife locking my daughter in the bathroom with her, fighting, and refusing to let me daughter out of the bathroom. He was on the other side of the door yelling for the wife to let my daughter out.

It was a mistake to sleep with him. My daughter knows that and never intended for it to happen more than that once. She never intended anything but to take that secret to her grave. She was drinking and fighting back when she told.

She believes that what the wife told the police about having given her own self the black eye is probably true. She doesn't recall punching her wife in the face area during the fight in the pool.

The story the wife gives is that the police did not believe that - that they believe my daughter gave her the black eye no matter how the wife protested and said she did it to herself.

I don't know what to believe. My inclination is to side with my daughter. I have to help her through this no matter how it went down. It's going to be long and messy, plus difficult and uncomfortable for all of us but I have my daughter's back and I'm definitely pleased to have her and my grandson here with us again.

I think now that, I'm grateful someone thought enough of me to do that lol. I was in talks again so I'm going to go on like a 3 month thing to see if I like it or not. :)

jeeze.. and here I was going to write about the ridiculous thing I saw yesterday. if anyone wants a laugh, here goes. I've some tomatoes that I set out in the early part of march. they were supposed to be dwarf tomatoes.. only about 18" high. well.. they're well over 4' now and busting stakes.

I wondered why, despite seeing blooms, I wasn't getting any fruit... they kept vanishing. enter goliath - one of the squirrels in the neighborhood. so called, because he's the size of a small cantaloupe, not counting the tail. I'm microwaving a bit of food, look out the window, see him gallop up to the planter, start rooting through, and comes up with a plum-sized green tomato. gallops back, hulksquirrel climbs up onto the porch railing, and eats the whole thing in about 4 bites.

after measuring, shoving things about, etc. the planter won't fit in my inside vegetable closet, so.. it's all yours, dude.

I'm feeling very chatty today. I just wrote a 700word page blog post that probably made no sense. Well, it made sense, it was just jumping from topic to topic in an attempt to connect. Long story short, we now aren't sure if I actually have bipolar disorder (manic depression). I mean it's not ruled out either way, but I was talking about how I'd had more of the depression side of things. However, today I'm feeling kindof super!

Ok, pause, so I was watching a lot of vlogs of this girl with bipolar and I don't know if that's effecting me, because I tend to feed off others' energy, so maybe her energy is being absorbed into me and made into my energy, but I'm feeling energetic now.
Might also have to do with the fact that my band, Avatar, is coming back to the states to tour again and so that's exciting. hehe yes, I said "MY" band. :p

But back to the super feeling. Yeah, it's been awhile since I've felt "super", but I kinda just got there. It's weird. I was starting to sleep less too, but then I've added a sleeping aid, so I can't really track sleep....

If it's not obvious, I'm having trouble focusing. This could also be ADHD. I'm soooo anxious/on the edge of my seat, to find out my test results. Thing of it though, they asked me a lot of questions about how I was as a child. I don't f'n remember how I was as a child!! I was pretty un self aware (not self aware?), that I could hardly answer those questions...

anyway, I've been thinking a lot about how I can post more on this forum...I guess I'm trying something.

Pull all the seafood topping over to one pizza (eat today), then share the other one with co-workers. I'm not sure I'm sold on the freezing already cooked pizza, since I haven't done that before.

I'm going to insist I keep my stable and that I can still go horse riding with people. :) I don't want to move my girl, she likes where she is and always has entertainment with people. So that'll be that although I'm expecting to keep doing bits and pieces where I am now as I kind of helped build the reputation for place. :)

I had Greek food tonight for dinner...mmm!

@Aerianne - at least you know the story now, and hopefully, your daughter can begin healing. It's great that she has you to help her through this. I went through a bump recently with my husband, and I know marriage will not always be effortless every day (I wish it would be though lol) - but once abuse enters in, probably best to go their separate ways. I feel bad for them though, they just got married. :(

Hopefully, the court will not lift the No Contact Order as they both would like to have done.

I think they need this imposed break to give my daughter time to realize that love cannot "fix" or "change" another person for you. It's a hard lesson but I'd rather her know that going forward.

You can't tell people that. They have to go through things to know it for themselves. I'd just rather her know while the marriage is only 8 months old and the relationship only 3 years old.
