A better question is why is he carrying if he was planning on drinking. We don't exactly know yet if he was drunk. But to answer why he had a round in the chamber, because it's common sense. Any firearms instructor well tell you that you should have a round in the chamber. It takes two hands to chamber a round and if you're in a life or death situation, you may only have useage of one hand.

The Denver Police Department is conducting their own internal investigation to find out why Officers & Detectives didn’t arrest the special agent (Who will likely face second degree assault charges) but turned him over to an FBI Supervisor.

The Ranking Detective could once again find himself walking a beat?

That doesn't seem the case here as they're investigating and seeing whether or not criminal charges can be brought up against him.

They would have had that figured out by now if he wasn't an FBI agent

This man went in a nightclub. FBI agents have concealed carry. He could have safely left his weapon in his vehicle in a hidden place. He was not on duty. Why was he carrying a weapon to a nightclub where he would be drinking and dancing? No one's saying he was drunk. He was careless. Is there a negligent assault with a deadly weapon charge or in other words reckless endangerment. Either fits.

For one, not all guns have external safeties i.e. the Glock in my avatar. For another, you can't count on external safeties as an excuse for poor trigger discipline. The safety could've been knocked to fire when it was dropped or how he grabbed it.

    Brilliant!
It doesn't fire unless you pull the trigger!

I've seen flintlocks that work on that principle.
What you're saying is that the Glock has a poorly designed safety system.
Any one year old can pick up a Glock and fire it as there's no safety lever that must be disengaged before it will fire when the trigger is depressed.

And we know there are those who keep a bullet in the chamber for "instant use".

i dont see that at all

i just see some internet goof thinking hes impressing us by bragging about the safety of some gun he owns

has nothing to do with the actual topic..

but thats how the internet works...people who dont even own guns are experts on the subject and people who werent even there know all kinds of facts ..they even know he was drunk...its amazing

Well, the video has alot to do with the topic, as people keep asking "why wasnt the safety on" and clearly displaying that they don't understand that every pistol doesn't have this "safety on, safety off" mechanism, and that's why I posted it. It's a conversation for folks to try analyze and figure out what really happened, since all the details haven't been revealed as of yet, or, possibly "won't" be revealed.

Eric. It won't do you any good. They are the experts. We the ones who owns these guns with integrated safety's that set the standards for safer guns that are the clueless ones. But we don't have any idea what we are talking about. Just move along to the next topic they will be smarter than you about.

*A one year old could make the gun go off* LMBO. You can't write this comedy yourself.
