Every time I've gone to a nude beach, it seemed like all of the people who were naked weren't the one's that you'd want to see naked.
^ or they're the ones who are already sick of being stared at with their clothes on, let alone naked. not sure what you mean. looked at like a registered sex offender? no, i prefer not to be looked at like that.
A paranoid religiouse community, together with over zealous law enforcement and a government run by stuck up prudes living in the past made (semi) nudity a crime, linking everything to sex offender. I did try several times to be myself, got me shipped off overseas for a few ToD's, several big sun burns, one daughter and a hippie chick for a wife.
"Just be yourself" as long as you're one of those people that other people want to see naked. Or "Its only ok to be nude if you are hot"--sigh. (Or does that mean, once the temperature hits 90, we can get our clothes off? Most likely not.) Naturists don't go around naked to show off their gorgeous bodies. They go naked because they don't care if their bodies aren't gorgeous.
But why should it bother anyone???? Why are people afraid of it?? I dont understand.... We are all the same.....WHO CARES??
I am always myself and it works out well for me. While I am happy to admit that I have no ambitions to run around London with no clothes on, admitting it does not put too many people off chatting with me. In fact, I think that if most people here on HF saw me running around naked, they would run for the hills. .
Being myself never worked Being somebody else never worked Maybe I was just meant to not have friends.
Yes but it should be...... Clothes are not natural.... Why are we the only ones that have to wear them?
I don't know if you're serious or not, but I kinda feel that way. I'm awkward in social situations and prefer to be by myself mostly.
It was a Lisa Simpson quote. I have always said I'm my own best company, I don't particularly need people around me I have a lot of fun on my own, but I also enjoy going out with people too etc. Last few years I've really made a change to my social lifestyle and that was with pool basically one night I did something I'd never done before. I told my miss to stay home, but I was going out to a pool competition and this forced me to be social. It went well too, and I got a name for myself and soon enough I was asked to join a team and a league and now I have 7 new friends. I don't have a hard time having friends in real life, online I do but people just don't get me much online they read what I write and judge me to be serious or whatever, but in real life you'll hear the sarcasm and the grin on my face, I'm actually likeable IRL. I'm a bubbly, qwerky, docile, adorable thing in the real world. animals trust me, that says a lot IMO.
There would be a lot of people arrested if it were. Back to the original point, much as many of us would like to be naked as much as possible, we have to recognise the consequences of a criminal record, or the few places we have being lost.
i agree with not wanting a criminal record part. But as to your point about the few places we have being lost that is nice for those who can afford to travel to them and pay to join or stay there. but for many of us we live in places where we are hundreds of miles away from those places so we don't get to ever really be ourselves. also those of us with health issues and family to take care of don't have time or the luxury of going on trips. my thought is instead of fighting to keep a few places open for a select few maybe we should be fighting to create more places for us all
