An Okie prof from OU--expert on extreme weather. Trump must be expecting the Mueller probe to be taking a turn for the worse!
Trump’s Travel Ban Might Be Legal, but It’s Bad Policy Most terrorists don’t get radicalized abroad; they’re made in the USA. by Matthew Levitt April 25, 2018, 4:26 PM Trump’s Travel Ban Might Be Legal, but It’s Bad Policy excerpt: "But it is simply not true to say that the “vast majority” of individuals convicted of terrorism offenses were foreign-born — unless one includes in that number those foreign terrorists who do not enter the country of their own volition at all but were extradited to the United States specifically to be prosecuted. If one included both domestic and international terrorism cases in the data set, it would show that only 18 to 21 percent of all individuals convicted of terrorism offenses were foreign-born. Even if it were true, cataloging where terrorists were born is a meaningless statistic. The question is not where terrorists came from but when and where they were radicalized. According to a March 2017 DHS report, “most foreign-born, US-based violent extremists likely radicalized several years after their entry to the United States.” Another DHS report concluded that “citizenship is unlikely to be a reliable indicator of potential terrorist activity.” DHS’s findings echo a December 2016 report by the House Committee on Homeland Security, which concluded that the United States “faces its highest Islamist terror threat environment since 9/11, and much of the threat now stems from individuals who have been radicalized at home.” Despite all of this evidence, the White House immigration statement released in February portrayed “chain migration” and the visa lottery system as national security threats on the basis of 15 cherry-picked cases of “terrorists and criminals” who entered the United States through these programs. A close look at these cases reveals that most, if not all, were not at all radical or violent when they came to the United States (meaning the immigration vetting systems through which they entered worked just fine). Most of them, like Saipov, radicalized after arriving. Indeed, Saipov is one of the 15 cases listed, but he’s not alone in having radicalized well after immigrating to the country."
Trump campaign misspells 'Oklahoma' by ELIZA COLLINS 02/25/2016 11:12 AM EST Trump campaign misspells 'Oklahoma' A Facebook photo advertising his Friday rally in Oklahoma City had this message: “Stand with Trump Oaklahoma City, OK 02.26.16.” This isn’t the first time the Trump campaign has botched a spelling in Oklahoma, which votes on Super Tuesday. Last month, media badges for his rally in Tulsa spelled them “Tusla.”

Regarding the base who won't notice the spelling or misspelling Oklahoma or any other very long word - do you think they will notice when they lose their jobs or will they blame it on Obama, Hillary, liberals or the Grand Poobah of (insert secret club name here)? As much as they carry on about thirty-three degrees, I prefer 72 degrees Fahrenheit. 33 1/3 used to be okay but then they stopped making needles for my turntable. Now we are all on CDs. Will the very base of these followers ever realize the damage being done to their interests? Will they blame Obama when the price of the MAGA caps increases in price because the Chinese-made caps cost more due to new tariffs made possible by their fearless leader? Will they ever make a connection that something doesn't seem quite right when other items imported have tariffs on them but not those of family members who have clothing made in China? They will probably go on blaming the brown devils south of the border who are the root of all their problems.
So what was the cumulative iq of the crowd at the trump rally in florida? I'll go out on a limb and say ~90. Watching that rally, I thought I was at Walmart*. *I don't shop at walmart.
Trump wants to impose a 25% tariff on Chinese goods...not the 10% he originally proposed. This would affect $200 billion dollars worth of goods. In addition Trump is looking at another $16 billion worth of goods. China responded:
Chicago, Columbus, Cincinnati and Baltimore sue Trump over his attacks on the ACA (Obama Care). The suit claims Trump is violating Article II of the Constitution which requires the president to “take care that the laws be faithfully executed.” The charges are that Trump is threatening to eliminate cost-sharing reduction payments and that he has already cut funding for helping to enroll, and for using federal funds marked for implementing the ACA to make videos criticizing it. Yesterday Trump's Health and Human Services Secretary introduced a program to allow individuals to drop out of the ACA in favor of lower cost bare bones short term policies that lack many of the protections granted by the ACA., thus depleting the pool of healthier individuals and raising the cost of ACA enrollment. Trump bragged about it yesterday:
Oklahoma would make a good study in desertification. The western half is dry and parts of it are similar to Arizona. Oklahoma even has its own Painted Desert, located in the panhandle near the Gloss Mountains. The Arbuckle Mountains of Oklahoma and Wichita Mountains remind me of places in New Mexico. Several historic cattle trails cut through the state in the dry western region. The eastern half of Oklahoma has water and plenty of trees. Maybe this new Trump pick could teach the dumbshit if chief something about science?
I went to Walmart yesterday to buy a can of spray paint for my truck. I noticed many Walmart shoppers were very fat and did not shower or wash their cloths before visiting the store.
The Republican controlled Senate rejected a bill to provide $250 million for election cyber defense yesterday. Introduced by the Democrats it was only approved by one Republican, Bob Corker. The Republican led House rejected a similar proposal last month. It appears to me that the Republicans are afraid they can't win elections without Russian help.
All this talk about Russia. The Russians ate my homework. The Russians caused the fires in California. Even the news media admitted that the Russian thing was a 'nothing burger'. They just use it for ratings. Trump's base are not as astute as McCarthy. It's too bad the Democrats nerfed Bernie Sanders out of his primary wins. While the DNC snubbed Bernie, Trump was busy not acknowledging Sanders' existence, choosing to go after 'crooked' Hillary. The DNC cheated Sanders out of his primary victories in favor of a candidate who was considered at best the lesser evil when Sanders would have won a fair election. Now, the Democrats have Trump for the next 2 to 6 years. One thing they already knew was that it is not who casts the votes that counts, but who counts the votes. Stalin is given credit for that idea, although he might not have said it. If honest elections are the desired outcome, why can't paper ballots be used and put into a ballot box? This would not stop ballot box stuffing or discarding of ballots who voted for the 'wrong' candidate, but it would be a lot safer than election theft machines that can be hacked by anyone with a little IT background.
