I agree i used to always go barefoot in school, and TBH it felt cool to be the only one but then sometimes my friends joined in, I would rarely walk around school barefoot but i love taking my shoes and socks off in lesson and in the library

Feet? Don't care. Much rather lobby for professional women ice skaters to go naked as they skate. (OK --sorry)

And first post too! The "let me just pop in and be rude" method usually does not win you many points.

Right, it shouldn't be forced to walk barefoot, but students should be encouraged to go to school barefoot - and live barefoot in general.

I think it should be up to the kids if they want to be barefoot or wear socks and shoes. When i was in school i did go barefoot in school and in the winter i would wear shoes but no socks. Some of my classes where on the other side of the campus. And in the snow it was a ways out there. I did go barefoot in the snow but some of my classmates called me crazy. I never like socks or shoes. And my teacher did not mind if we where barefoot. In the spring when it got warmer the teachers wore sandals or flip/flops. And one of my teacher did go barefoot most of the year and she loved being barefoot and she would look at my bare feet all the time she had me even stay after school and she would ask if i would message her bare feet and i would she was gorgeous and i would suck her toes .She would rud mine and suck my toes . i know when i was barefoot and it was test time i did really good on the test being barefoot. And i try with my shoes on and did bad . so everytime i had to take a test i would be barefoot. But it should be up to the student if they want to be barefoot at school . i know if i had kids they would be barefoot all the time .everybody keep barefooting.

When I was a child I went barefoot to school in my village in summer. And i wasn't the only one. There seemed to be a "barefooting rule" made by ourselves: Some other kids went barefoot because they wanted to belong to the group of the cool barefoot ones.

I think shoes that damage kids feet should have warning labels.

"Teenagers are particularly vulnerable because foot bones continue to grow through adolescence - the bones are still soft so can be forced into unnatural shapes, rather like foot-binding in ancient China.

This changes their gait, leading to problems all the way up their skeleton, such as knee, hip and back pain. And as this generation is likely to live longer than previous ones, that could mean decades of discomfort."

The article still pushes shoes but here Will those trendy shoes ruin your teenager's health? | Daily Mail Online

Definitely think this is something that should be a choice at least or even encouraged. I find in these types of environments barefooting is contagious so once one pupil is barefoot they'll all soon be barefoot.

I've seen this is common in new Zealand and south African primary schools but should be allowed across the globe and right upto and through college.

No - there shouldn't be ..... However, it should IMO be a freedom of choice.
If we are advocating freedom of expression then barefoot is one form of such.
As long as those who do so are acceptant of Health and Safety risks (and willing to sign away liability to the body they choose this format) I have no problem with people choosing to do so.

I always wore sandals to class (college) and took them off while listening to lectures. Much more comfortable.
