Don't mean to pop any balloons here but I've checked into some of these work at home things and almost all of them are a scam.

(There's an organization called WAHM (Work at Home Moms) where you can go to get the lowdown on all this, plus find out about the few legitamite work at home offers that are out there.)

    examples (of scams):
"Make money stuffing envelopes" What they'll do is ask you for $$$ up front then tell you to put an ad in the paper saying "Make money stuffing envelopes" and so on and so on.....

"Make $$$$ making our jewelry at home!!" again they'll ask you for like $25-$40, up front then they'll send you some cheap ass beads and some fishing line--total worth maybe a buck--and instructions on how to turn this crappy material into crappy jewelry. They'll tell you in the ad that they'll pay x amount of dollars for each piece you assemble and return to them but if you try to collect they'll send it back to you with a note saying you assembled it incorrectly.

There's more you can find out about at the WAHM website.

One thing the WAHM website says is if anybody asks you for money up front it's almost certain to be a scam of some kind.
