Just sittin here thinking about changes and sorta wanted to know what things you think are different now from the time you were a kid.
Well when i was a kid, i was depressed, lonley, made fun of everyday at school, and played waaaay to many video games. Now that i am the age i am now, i feel way more optomistic, feel i have made many good friends, have a major goal in life that keeps me motivated in music, and now spend waaaay to much time on hipforums some times.
From 13 to 14 I was a very angry, hateful, person. I was into whatever was angry, hateful sounding metal music and being a vandal. Problems in school had driven me to feeling that way but Pink Floyd, Pot, and understanding from some very cool people made me realise that was not the person I was inside.
I used to think that the world revolved around my friends & whatever they were doing. Now I just listen to my own intuition.
Sounds like alot of you have grown up and realized that you didnt like who you once were. Sounds very typical, I mean as we grow up we start to see things differently. heh, its amazing how at the time we were younger we felt like our world was crumbling, and i suppose in some ways it was, but now it seems so far away and small.
I think another thing that is different today from the time I was a kid is the amount of disrespect alot of kids seem to give their parents. Back in my day(haha well that sounded quite odd)if a kid got lippy with thier parent(s), heh they got in alot of trouble.
Back in the day, ( ), I never really cared about school, and I was always trying to do good in sports, but ended up quitting every time I went out for 'em... I was always a big druggie, and I never really cared about my future... I got made fun of a lot too, but that changed last year... I never was able to talk to females, but that too changed last year... I'm sure there's more, but many of my memories are all fried and blurry for some odd reason...

Mine crumbled until it was non-existant. I think it needed to happen. Now I'm a completely different, much better feeling person.
everything in my life has changed from when i was a kid but thats life changes are inevitable and not necessarily a bad thing people fear change and they really shouldnt change is an amazing thing and what this world need is more changes and david bowie is a god ~peace
I haven't changed much from since I was a kid, actually. The only difference is that I'm comfortable in my own skin. And the music. Oh, the music. Thank the Lawd.
