Just as he recovers from his thoughts of suicide,
His life must be offered up for another's.

    And so,
With a flutter of sadness in his eyes,
    He leaves the earth.

The gentle smile grazed his lips like ice,
    As his gaze faded deeper,
    Deeper....
    Deeper.

Alot of poems about suicide don't capture the sadness the person contemplating such an action would be feeling. This does, and in so few words. I enjoyed it, kinda appropriate on this cold and rainy day. Thanks for sharing it.
