done by the mamas in the bahamas

i went on a disney cruise with my family and when we stopped in the bahamas, i had this done. I like it!
You can't see all of my hair but it's just the bangs that are done, the rest is loose.

 

was it painful?

 

I bet it was expensive... I went to the caribbean and several ladies offered to do it for me... my hole head was about and average of 150-200 to have done. My step mother had it done and they had to leave in the middle of it.. there illegal workers who do it.. so when they see the police.. they run... They came back after the cop left and finished my stepmoms hair and only charge her 50 to do the hole thing cause of the whole leavinging her with it half done....

it WAS quite painful, but they did them nice and tight so that is cool.

2$ a cornrow, came to 40$ , wasn't that bad. i took some out one one side lastnight, looks kinda sweet.

 

yeah ive had those done, but im surprised, 150 BUCKS!? for a whole head?! thats insaneeee... when i went to florida for a vacation, i got my whole head done for 50 bucks, plus a bunch of beads! it didnt really hurt though, although it did a little, because my scalp was sunburnt.. lol

 

Wow, braiding prices have gone up considerably. Hubby and I went to Jamaica about six years ago and had both our heads done for 80 dollars including the beads. It didn't hurt but took quite some time as we both have long hair.

 

How was the Disney Cruise?

 

the cruise was awesome! It was truly Magical just like they say it will be....everyone working on the ship is totally eager to help and serve...there's disney music playing all the time, parties on the outside decks, 3 clubs, kids groups, awesome food, ect ect ect....we had such a blast. *sigh* now we're back to reality. but we were ready to come home...even though i'd like to go back now. hehe
