Well ..... "because we're desperate to get Trump out of the office" is part of the story. The other part is the president's racist rhetoric has heavily contributed to creating this environment.

It's off too right - the way some look at the fallout from the story. The Parkland kids lives aren't ruined by being part of a mass murder where their friends are killed. Same with kids at other school shootings. We don't speak of the migrant kids held in cages as having their lives ruined. Kids that suffer with health issues because they have no health insurance lives aren't ruined. But yet ..... the private school kids from a school that pays no taxes and who went to a protest get sympathy/ Curious don't ya think?

Its illuminating who we choose to protect and who we choose to ignore. The white christian male private school kid or the young girl with a shaved head whose friends got murdered in front of her? Or the brown kids in cages? Or the poor kids with no health insurance. Nope, the outrage is for the white christian male private school kids. Coincidence?

Because it brings into clear focus the same things that we know happen but never seem to get any red handed evidence to support. The left will propose that nobody understands these events because everyone besides them are stupid and lack the ability to understand the big picture, or lack critical thinking skills. Americans have grown weary of these things. The left feel the only way to solve anything is to be as big an irritant as possible, and drape the flag and constitution around them to shelter them.

Trump got elected by events like this. He used the term Fake News in his campaign. This is a perfect example of it. His voters knew this crap took place, were sick of it, but before him were told to shut up and not take issue with it, because it would be racist or bigoted or....or...or....or.

So they begrudgingly sat quietly and let the hatred fester. Then Trump came along, and for the first time told them its OK to be disgusted by them, and that they didn't have to be silent any longer.

He was bright enough to touch that portion of America like no other Republican could.

Its interesting that so far no where in the narrative of the left have I seen it be said that if you don't like what someone stands for politically, or you don't like their cause, or you don't like what they wear, you simply ignore them. Instead its the Boys that should have retreated. Or its the schools fault that they let them come support an Anti Abortion cause. Or that they let them wear MAGA hats in the first place. Or told the students it was OK to stand your ground.

But when the left does anything they want to do, they don't expect to be questioned about how it comes off.

Making America Great again, can mean many things to many people. Admiring what that means to each person doesn't mean they like all of what Trump is.

To the left Making America Great Again seems to irritate them like no other phrase I have seen.

    It's brilliant.

Where is the media coverage of the Black Group and that hatred they displayed?

    Largely ignored. Hmmmmm.

What people on the right can’t andwer is when was America great and for who? It was certainly great for most our history if you’re a straight white christian man but what about everyone else? Should we go back to when gays had no rights and couldn’t serve in the military? Is that great for them? Should we go back to when Adrian Americans drank from separate fountains? Was that great for them? How about when we had Japanese concentration camps? Or when women couldn’t work or vote? Or when we exterminates the native population? Not everyone wants to go back to those moments of greatness

Hitler suggested that his followers go to a place where they are not welcome. When they are there they should not do anything but make their presence known. When you get a reaction you can hide behind the idea you are peaceful and only "showing both sides". Now people in the middle will come to your side. You will seem kind and rational while the other persone seem violent and unwilling to talk. It's important to sell your self as academic while they are emotion based.

This has been common since the 1930's including with a former room mate I hate in college. He went to gay pride rallies with sings in the style of the Westberro Church yet never did anything he only hoped for the reaction. I think of him a lot now because he was a hardcore Nazi like no shame in admitting he wanted a Hitler in America. He has picked our school because it was something like 93% white at the time. To him this meant a true academic environment. Many things he said are said on Fox news now as far as the idea white people have a culture and a right to protect it from lesser people who have no culture.

I worked hard to be moved after my first semester thankfully.

The idea of victim hood and censorship is huge in the right wing circles now. It is not their problem it is yours for being so sensitive you can not handle the facts. Not only that they take a delight in their perception as an academic. Sound familer?

The boy got what he wanted. You will view the video as you want to. When you look into his life and the way he and his family speak the hate and racism is clear. He listens to the same men as my room mate.

The left are also Americans... and just as diverse in their motives and convictions as 'the right'.
Sometimes you mean democrat politicians when you use the term 'the left' and sometimes the more radical leftist citizen. You always use the term 'the left' though. I wish you would nuance these terms a little (as should several libtards in regards to 'the right', just to be clear), so 1) it would be more clear what you're actually criticizing, and 2) we don't get the same generic debates of left and right pointing out generalisations we all heard before (usually from the same people)

I notice some folks don't care for people who dishonor their military service.

I also notice how both the left and right take for granted that everybody shares their views. I know that none of the people in Washington read letters from constituents, it would waste time. Surely they have underlings to do that and present only the most relevant queries. But I'm beginning to think none of the letters are being read.

Because there's no way I'm going to believe that American middle ground has been shit-canned.

Whats interesting about this event is the displays of tolerance versus the displays of psychopathic behavior in the digital realm (where so many feel safe to spew the worst of the worst). I begin to wonder whatever happened to Live and let Live. I only ever got into 1 fight over disco.

It's not smart to conclude anything with certainty about the possible middle ground in a society on how people behave on social media. Its where the bored, scared and frustrated people vent. And where a lot of manipulation by people with agendas is going on.

In this particular instance it may be dismissed as trivial to the exact topic. Just something extra that can make the drumming indian look bad: which suits the folks defending the MAGA kids

Until someone of "The Left" or the "Right" tries to condemn the ones that take extremes, it will be hard to separate what "Left" or "Right" means. Then the debate will rage at what "extremism" means. Neither side accepting the limits of the definition the other proposes.

The left ( the only ones we heard from), piled on Trump when he doesn't condemn racist in his party, while giving a pass to the racist in their party and justifying their actions as being just, so therefore acceptable. Trump is playing the same game and now the left doesn't like it.

I forgot which party is supposed to portray themselves as the tolerant ones. Well I haven't forgotten, I just think they have.

Neither party or doing our country a good service by being tolerant of the extremist within their party. After all they are just pandering for votes.

It also seems you equate the entire left with the democrat party here. How useful is this I wonder? This is one reason why I wish you would specify who you're talking about. Do you really talk about the Democrats when you say 'the left'?

It's ironic you share that pic. Rarely saw a person so frustrated about their privileges righteously being pointed out or getting all dramatic about pussyhat wearing feminists
