    I give you permission
    To kiss the scars
    Scattered over my body
    Like stars in a constellation

    My heart is the reflection
Of the moon over the pool
    That you will swim through
    Once you're given consent
    I am allowed to
    Feel vulnerable
    Even until
    The breaking of vows
    I extend an invitation
For you to lounge on my stomach
    A desert of demons
Your new religion relies on my penetration

    When you find i'm inside
    Your faith in me
    Will be renewed
Call off the search for something I don’t hide
    I am allowed to
    Feel vulnerable
    Even until
    The breaking of vows
    I give you permission
    To leave one more scar
Across my chest above my heart
It will be my permanent reminder of the decision

    To love again

Fantastic poem, peregrine! I really like the tone you present here… it feels very real to me, passionate and vulnerable. Great imagery as well… enjoyed this one mucho :)

...and that coming from one who makes the senses and very constellations spin with his own words... :) thank you.
