Thanks guys.. Mabey ill just have to get it... mama i know its horrible... But in tom pettys song the DJ wants to play music his way and stuff... none of my stations even have DJ anymore... There is no song requests... its horibble.. I im not thrilled about having to pay for radio but its got to be better that the shit thats on the radio know... My favorite station "Classic rock thats rocks" is now "The River music to work to" Grrrrrrr , The Alternative station is now a rap stations... Therse nothing left... Even the oldies station has turned to crap music.... I must do something..

my boss has it. It seems pretty cool. I wouldn't pay for radio though. I've got a decent classic rock station around here

on Sunday nights at midnight they do a Grateful Dead hour and they have all sorts off cool stuff. Lunch and 8-9 request hours. It's nice.

Yeah... I'm tired to classic rock stations here. The one I listen to plays too much damn Journey and Fleetwood Mac, it's scary. *ducks and hides* I don't even think they have Hendrix or the Greatful Dead. I've thought about Sirius since Howard Stern is going to be going to Sirius radio and it has no FCC regulation laws on it. :D

I did listen to XM non simulcast of parts of the Roo last year, posted a link here, too.
But get a disc player and start trading discs.
    XM is a monthly charge.
as Petty said "how much will you pay for what you used to get for free?"
I have aknack for finding cool stations... where are ya?

As of right now, I would probably consider it to be a frivolous waste of money. Yeah, I'm aware of the variety that isn't available on AM and FM, but to me it just isn't worth it! Call me someone who 'lives in the past too much', but I'd sooner tune in an AM station which played decent music (yes! believe it or not there are still a handful out there!) than go invest a $200+ start-up cost and then a $10 monthly subscription.

FTR, If you're looking to find decent conventional broadcasting (either while on-line or if you're lucky enough to live in one of the communities in question), below are websites to radio stations with live strams worth checking out!

    KCUV-AM 1510 Denver CO: www.kcuvradio.com
KNBT-FM 92.1 New Braunfels TX (between San Antonio and Austin): www.knbtfm.com
    KHYI-FM 95.3 Howe TX (north of Dallas-Ft. Worth) www.khyi.com
WCLM-AM 1450 Richmond VA www.wclmradio.com -Certain programs only

The stations below feature mostly Louisiana music (Cajun, zydeco, country, blues):
KBON-FM 101.1 Mamou LA (north of Lafayette) www.kbon.com
    KLRZ-FM 100.3/KANE-AM 1240/KLEB-AM 1600 southern LA www.klrzfm.com

    just to name a few
