Google is pulling the plug on it's social networking site Google+ after 7 years due to infrequent and lagging use. How do you feel about this? Did you use it ? Will you miss it or just good riddance ?
Was it ugly like MySpace? I hated that site you click a profile and your own music is interrupted by whatever shit they listened to on their page. It was totally off-putting.
It was ugly in it's own way.. Something about friend "circles".. Was meant to be more Facebook than MySpace but yeah that music thing. Instantly not going to look at the profile of anyone who puts music on it. Ah, MySpace. I did meet some people on there though. Met my best friend. We'd lived ten minutes apart for twenty one years and then met on MySpace.
Oh if they had music on their profile I would always just close it lol. I just found it intrusive. Same as why I don't watch much youtube videos on forums cause i'm chillin to my own tunes.
It was so bad you could use it as an insult. Watch: Australia.... the Google+ of countries. I really hated that I had an account simply because I had a email address.
What really ticked me off was the fact if I posted a comment on YouTube it automatically appeared cross platform on Google Plus. I was told later that could be remedied in settings but I chose to stop posting in YouTube . I may return to that practice now that Plus is going away. For the record I do not use FakeBook , Twitter or Instagram either .
I remember some brief hype about it but I don't recall using it. So I feel indifferent towards this news. I guess my only question is given the stature of Google, is there something in the works to replace it? Or perhaps plans to merge with another social networking site?
