The beauty of the world is not to be found In a work of art, or a nice little sound. Nor is religion to be found in a church, For inside ourselves is where we must search. From our awareness comes the birth of this place. From behind closed eyes, it's nothing but space. Perception is the student, teacher, father and son. But we refuse to believe that we all come from one. We maim, we kill, we blame and accuse. We look for reasons for righteous abuse. We see this all and turn a blind eye. We sit and listen to lie after lie. Maybe this is all how things must go, All a part of some great show. But there's something to be said for writing your own lines. When you stray from the norm, you truly shine.
