Even when a couple are slightly underage, provided that their is no alleged rape involved and the couple want to have a life together, it is unlikely that anyone would go to prison.
The problem with changing the laws, is that it lessens the penalty for rapists and makes underage sex more socially acceptable.

It is wonderful that you have had a long and successful relationship, but I sure that you will agree that it is the exception, rather than the rule.

Here in the UK the age on consent has been 16 since 1885. Prior to that it was 13.

What does that have to do with my point? If I was I would be ok with 12 years having "magic" kids or the child brides in general? I fail to see your point.

Mine was the sick nature of the Bible and how it ties into American views on marriage not a diss on your kids. I am guessing from your comment you have them and it's a way to rank your importance and intelligence compared to mine.
