Several people have told me that I look pregnant, and they've made very clear that they mean 'pregnant' not 'fat'. Normally I wouldn't pay any attention, but quite a few people (who don't know each other) have told me that I do. Should I get a test done? I mean, it's possible. Unlikely, but possible. Should I wait to see if I skip a period? ~Moro
if you feel like you should get a test, do it ~ it cant hurt to make sure i can make myself look quite pregnant.. ask orsino2 soulrebel51 fractual_ and moonjavaseed but yes, back to the topic it can't hurt to get yourself tested
What does that even mean? I mean if you're not showing as pregnant or something, how would you look pregnant? Do you have that pregnant-woman glow or something? (sorry I just got up and my head's a little fuzzy...)
i don't understand, since when havn't u had periods? r we talking about weeks or month? do u feel pregnant? i have been pregnant twice, and the symptoms were there but i just couldn't belive it could had happened so I waited too many weeks before testing... Aching boobs is for me the most obvious symptom, and feeling fat and eating all the time.
I'm not sure what 'looking pregnant' is, but one of the people who told me I look pregnant has been pregnant before so i guess she'd know. Well, I haven't actually skipped a period. I'm due to get it in the next few days. Since being told I looked for symptoms. I've only noticed two possible symptoms which are benig hungry all the time and if I don't eat I get really dizzy, and that my abdomine kinda aches, but that could be anything, like stress and stuff, right? I'm not going to jump to conclusions or anything, but you think maybe it would be a good idea to get a test anyway? ~Moro
when i was pregnant before i had morning sickness all day. it was horrible. im sure it's diff. for diff. people but if you're anything like me... trust me, you'd just KNOW. i think you are paranoid. but wait til you're a couple days late (if you are regular) and then take a test if it'll ease your mind.
Isn't it strange how we do just know like that? I've been paranoid often but the one time I actually was preggers I KNEW...it was totally different....I just knew. Stranger though, how the night I conceived I had a feeling like "I think I just got preg tonight" which came out the blue so I brused it off...but I was right. Since then I've been leaning more on my intuitions and they are always pretty right on.....ok, sorry back to topic.....hun, if you are a bit paranoid then just pick up a test...they are pretty cheap and then you can put your mind at ease (hopefulley, right)
When do you start getting morning sickness? I don't think I'm pregnant, but I've had someone keep telling me that she thought I was for about two months, starting a couple weeks before it would have happened (I forgot a pill ) I haven't missed any periods, I've been taking birth control pills & haven't forgotten more than one day. I'm 99% positive that I'm not pregnant, but that person just wanted to start rumors or something. However, theres still that 1% chance. Any other symptoms? I've heard you can have periods & be pregnant. I have had REALLLY bad cramps but it may be due to Depakote. Peace & Love
pregnancy tests are pretty darn cheap, especially if you think it's been a while since mr sperm met madame egg... not a day, but most are effective 3-7 days after the encounter.
Well, if you haven't even missed a period yet (assuming you're fairly regular) than you're probably not showing. I'm pretty skinny and if I gain like two pounds it goes right to that one spot and sticks out, making me look pregnant, even to the point where people mention it. So maybe you're just bloated or something? But yea, take a test if you're worried. Hey, it can't hurt.
you can get morning sickness at just a week especially if the embryo isn't adhering to the uterine wall. If you get extreme morning sickness or cramping you should see a doctor right away it could be fatal.
People used to tell me that to... It made me cry alot.... Complete strangers would ask when i was at work... it hurt alot
whoooa there, that's highly inaccurate. the most effective pregnancy tests on the market are only sensitive enough to detect pregnancy about four days before your period (which, if you'd gotten pregnant, would be about 10 days after you had sex). a blood test can detect as soon as seven days after conception, but not really any sooner than that. urine tests take a few days longer. your body has to produce enough hCG (the "pregnancy hormone") to be detected, and that would definitely not have happened in three days.
i'd do a pregnancy test just to make sure. its funny because both my sisters didnt know they were pregnant untill they started having really bad period pains & out poped a baby. they both continued to have periods, regular periods, they didnt show which is really wierd because my eldist sister is really skinny like me, i would have though the baby would have to stick out somewhere but no. they didnt get morning sickness, no boob pains or swelling of boobs, no hormones or mood swings, no craving or anything. one of my sisters is a nurse & she went into labour at work. she had really bad period cramps & fainted, it turned out she was going into labour. my other sister, she was out shopping & collapsed because of the pain, she thought they were period pains too as she was on her period, but no she was in labour. i dont want that to happen to me, i couldnt go 9 months without knoing i was pergnant, i'd love to be pregnant, knoing you have a new life growing inside of you, bonding with your baby, & preparing everything, it would be awful if one day a baby just appereid like for my sisters because you have nothing, no clothes, cot, nappys anything.
I recently went off the pill. It's only been around 3 weeks. Right after my last period my husband and I were vacationing in San Francisco and we made love and the whole next day I walked around feeling "different". All I could think about was being pregant. I haven't felt any morning sickness, but I have had a gassy feeling (I don't usually get like this) and more tired and emotional than usual. I was so convinced that I took a test the day after we got home. It came out negative and I was almost sad even though we aren't trying right now. I've just been thinking about being pregnant so much lately that I might have tricked myself into believing that I was.Any way my next period is due in another week or so and I'm still wondering if I'll get it (and maybe hoping that I won't).
well, i took a test and I'm not pregnant. Dunno why people said i looked it, seeing i haven't gained any weight or anything, and I looked at myself in the mirror wearing only my underwear and i didn't think i loooked pregnant. so thanks everyone for your replies and all. ~Moro
