I wouldn't blame them if they did.

But that's not how I understood the cartoon. But there it is - read into it what you will.

Balbus input on this thread has been invaluable. My take on it is that he actually does use critical reasoniing and evidence in formulating his opinion, and that irks some who get to where they are via some other process, plus the fact that they disagree. He's pretty much down to earth and realistic in what he says.

and I'm stymied. How else does one arrive at a conclusion? seriously though. Sometimes it's by instinct I guess, and I think that's when the mistakes are made. You think you've just gotta have a feeling about something. I think emotion is so powerful. But sometimes we and I have to be more rational than our emotions suggest we should be. That's just my opinion.

I guess Brexit is inevitable. I read a little on the "leave" site that @Boozercruiser provided. I hope figure out a good deal for the sake of all our members from Britain.

Firstly...Let Me Say...I Know Nothing Of "Brexit".....But It Appears To Be A Very Dividing Issue In The UK......

Does This Division Consist Of Rational Debate.....Or Otherwise.....If Indeed Otherwise.... I See

Many Years Of Bitterness In Your Country......Bitterness Cannot Build....It Can Only Destroy.....And That Would

    Be Sad Indeed.....:disappointed:

    Cheers Glen.

I agree with all you say there Glen.
I am a Brexiteer who just wants the referendum result carried out were 17.3 million brits voted to LEAVE the EU.
May and the rest have screwed that up and the will of the people and democracy has been ignored.
You words in bold there is about right, but we are caught in between rocks and hard places everywhere.
Sad indeed, and this issue is going to go on and on and on and on.
The only solution is to leave the UK without a deal and move to World Trade Organisation Rules.
    BREXIT MEANS BREXIT!

I can only hope that the EU elections and The Brexit Party can send a rocket up the arses of the renegade politicians who are trying to keep us in the EU.
Nigel Farage for prime Minister I say.
    Nigel Farage.
    Bring him on!

Emotions are not IMO a good guide to deciding on political issues. It's entirely to the emotions that demogogues seek to appeal, not to rationality.

Brexit inevitable? Only a tiny majority thought so back in 2016, and probably if we had a second vote, it would be over turned. It's divided this country in a very negative way, and the divisions are not going to go away any time soon.

A lot of people I speak to have changed their mind From Remain to Leave and the voting for the EU parliament will reflect that because almost everyone up here is voting for the Brexit party !! Don't bank on a Second referendum because the Government and opposition parties are scared of what it will reveal !

You can say THAT again Mallyboppa.
And as for the one with a face which looks like a slapped arse Diane Abbot, she always talks shite anyway.
To think Jeremy Corbyn used to shag her.

Revealed: Jeremy Corbyn 'showed off' naked Diane Abbott to impress Left-wing friends

That just shows you what taste and common sense he has!

Yeah let's just insult someone's face/looks. That has a lot to do with anything.

People are letting it become "divisive". The media keeps telling us how divisive it is, how divided the nation is... Notice they did the same in the U.S. in recent times.
It's almost like someone out there WANTS us to feel divided.

As I've mentioned already a few times, me and Luv are on totally opposite sides of this and yet we manage to keep it in perspective. It has zero to do with what we think of each other. I hear of people falling out with friends, break-ups, family rows... it's mental to let something like this have such an impact on our daily lives. It's not like falling out with everyone who doesn't agree with us is going to change anything.

    Which question?

As I’ve said if you think I’ve missed something please repeat it or tell me where it is and I’d be happy to reply.

Yes and it was widely discussed at the time and I’ve done a lot of reading and research since then and have travelled and lived in other European countries.

It would be sad – but it has to remembered that this division was created and encouraged by groups of the right and the wealthy that work on the old principle of ‘divide and conquer’ and have and do spend a lot of time and energy doing just that.
