My textbook says that one of the characteristics of normal healthy stool is an aromatic odor. Abnormal stool, consequently, is foul. Do you concur?
my nutrition professor in college always said 'If it sinks or stinks, you're not getting enough fiber in your diet" funny how some things just stick with you.............
I heard that stuff too....if you eat healthy, your poop is neither too hard, nor to soft and barely smells, and if you wipe there shouldn't be much in the paper either.....
At first the idea of "aromatic" poop seemed, um, blasphemous? ... but it makes perfect sense. If you're eating good foods, then nearly all of it should be utilized. Right?
Floating poo means you have too much fat in your diet, OR your body isn't utilizing the fat in your diet properly. Everyone's shit stinks, though. But I guess, if you think about it, when you are really sick it smells REALLY bad, but regular shit just smells kinda bad. It's a waste product, full of nasty bacteria and cast off food and intestinal cells and dead blood cells. It's gonna smell, no matter how well you eat. But yeah, meat eaters do have a different odor, I have heard. My mother had a freind who was a vegetarian from India, and he said he couldn't stand the smell of Americans. He said they smelled like rotten meat and sour milk. Yuck.
So which is it, poop float bad or poop float good..I've seen both so far. Are there any poo experts on the board to clarify this?
Poo is bad, period. Why is it that we can go to the moon, cure many diseases, and alter genetics of plants and animals, but we all still have to defecate?
I have horrible defacation problems. it's an odd color, never solid, floats, smells really bad once and a while I don't get it. I really try to eat right.
It could be your individual way your body handles food, HMC. Have you tried giving up dairy? It is nasty, and can really effect your eliminatory system.
