Lately i Can't Get Enough of Cake

Damn, right now they are just fucking it for me! They are really rocking my world! (If you haven't heard anything from them i highly recommend by the way) I mean, here i was like a minute ago browsing and posting 'lil unimportant comments here and there along the forums and then my playlist hits a big chunk of 'Cake' and my mood is just fucking lifted all at once and i'm like 'sit-dancing', if you will, as i'm typing and shit... I don't know - I just feel really good right now... God i sound like a pothead. God i am a pothead...

 

cake is a band where all of their songs sound exactly the same.

but I guess they can say that no other band really sounds like them, they got that going for em

 

I can't get enough cake either.

As a matter of fact, I am going to go cut myself a piece right now.

 

This afternoon I had a big slice of birthday cake and it tasted really great going down. I proceeded to have a brownie and thought I was going to hurl. Soon came to the realization that good things come in small doses. Maybe I'm just not smoking enough these days... maybe it wasn't the right kynd of brownie?

But seriously, a couple years back I won tickets to see Cake. They opened for Cheap Trick. After about the 3rd Cake song, it all seemed to blend together. There is a lot to be said about original sound, but they appeared to be a group of art students recycling the same catchy song for about an hour. I have to admit, I still give em an occasional listen.

As tacky as this may sound, Cheap Trick stole the show. Those guys can still rock out!

 

Does anyone know the song thats in 'Me, Myslef, and Irene" I am almost positive it's Cake. I reallly like it though

~madcrappie - Yeah, i get a lot of grief from my friends when i go through "Cake Moods". I agree with you just like i agree with them about them really having only one sound, but i gotta say that i really like that one sound! So every so often i listen to them for a few hours and i really enjoy it...
