I doubt seriously if people that are older than me would forego their landlines...even though I have a tracfone which texts and of course I can call people on - I would NEVER want to be without my landline. I like the mobile landline most though. We DO have one phone that is a true landline, curly line and all, and it "only" weighs about 30 pounds. lol

I'll have a landline as long as AT&T offers one.

 

My dad uses a landline, still goes into the bank and does his banking on paperwork, does everything and anything like he did in the 70s.

 

as long you have internet ,, youll have a landline. unless brought to via satellite.. they have equipment to make desk phones work from satellite tho, just as any other broadband..

I see, that sounds shitty! The heat actually hasn't been that bad this summer here, it's been in the 60's and 70's a lot here sometimes it peaks into 80's.
