Well Santo daime have ayahuasca ( sp? ) brew so why not .. I live in the wilderness and am a recluse so I have to think of something and know that certain things are allowed when religion is involved i.e. Native Americans / peyote Sooooooooo Just wondering if any of you good people have ever heard of lsd being used under any religious guise like the aftermentioned. jet-ggggggg
is the santo daime legally aloud to conduct ayahuasca sessions in the US though? i was under the impression they werent but im not certin. also i think the only reason these substances are somewhat accepted for religious purposes is they have a long history as being a spiritual sacrement...long before laws were around on this continent. unfortunatly i dont think there is anyway we could get lsd accepted as a sacrement, in this country.

(well, in the supreme court...) & groups like "the church of the tree of life" (declared everything that wasn't _already_ illegal as of 1970 to be a sacrament) still exist, but aren't set up to challenge stupid laws all the way to the supreme court... & a group like www.thefane.org is in canada but canada is not the USA (& not USSA either, heh...)
The SD folk are not legally allowed to use the brew I think in most countries though I think they were doing it in San Diego in the US . I beleive it's legal in Holland though that should come as no suprise and I know here in the uk , well Eng-land they use it their...ceremonies I know this because I talked to one of the folk in the SD and wanted to try it to see if it would help my strange health problems, even though I wasn't member he certainly didn't have a problem with it.Suffice to say if my own ayahuasca brew doesn't work out I know where I'll be heading JET-G
kesey and his following had an opportunity to legalize acid and weed as sacrements for the league for spiritual discovery because of the ridiculous amount of heads around cali back then, but kesey declined becuase he felt it was time to graduate from acid. shucks...
Sort of interesting loophole I wonder how hard it would be to get it legalised here for the same sort of purpose , Lord knows even pot would be a breakthrough . jet-gggggggggggggg
